But what I really hate about complete game sets is that they usually cut the tv opening and just fade in on the faceoff. Why is it so hard to clear the rights to these things?

I really disagree. I think Nick had big shoes to fil taking over captaincy from a guy like Stevie. And I think he did a wonderful job. He's such a classy guy and stays calm in situations where his team is down and can really calm his team down and create comebacks! I think Lidstroms a great leader but it's hard to fil shoes like Steve Yzermans. Anyway it's really your opinion just thought I'd share my thoughts. And man the Wings are great at these comebacks even now adays.

Oh man what a team Caps had: Oates, Juneau, Bondra, Zednik, Housley, Gonchar, Hunter, Tikkanen, Simon, Berube...

There were skill and toughness. If Tikkanen would have not blew it... the story might be a lot different. I also wonder what might have happened if Ovechkin could have been there?

And Wings would still have tied it if Tikkanen scored, bc they are tougher and have more skill.

It looks like Nikolishan(sp?) knocked it down at center so it would have made Bondra onside. It's quick but at 01:25 you can see him.

hmm well it looks like he might have tipped it at his own blue line but it went past center and the other blue line before Bondra touched it, so isn't that an offside two-line pass?

since Nikolishin touched it in the neutral zone, so they said and he might have its hard to tell for sure, it wasn't a two line pass. two line pass is, was, a pass from your own zone passing your blue and the center ice line, not center and the other blue line. So in this case it was like Nikolishin shot it from center and Bondra was just beating out an icing call.

Watching this makes me want to go home and watch the tapes from 98. I have every win from the playoff run on video.
