  • Glass Cage is one of my favorite albums. And I'm not even a huge piano listener. Mostly, I listen to progressive rock. I've heard other pianists doing this song, though, cause I was curious. To me, it's like comparing this version with the others I heard is like comparing a gentleman to a babum. Thanks again, Bruce, for your art. Thanks for that album, it really makes my life better. Walking Barcelona, or Leiden, listening to this is an experience I'll always hold dear.

  • he performs it with high precision, but i think it should be quite a bit faster. 20-30% faster, especially the louder parts. okay thats easy for me to say, i cant play it, but the recordings of this peace that i prefer are much faster.

  • @kurtilein3 I agree, fortunately we have Philip Glasse's recordings to know how he meant it to be played.Despite that, this is a good rendition.

I do think it's weird that he follows a somewhat slower tempo then all the sudden at 3:29 he breaks the original tempo. Musically it's not correct, still i don't care enough for those details to disregard his rendition.
