psychosocial support. there is NO OTHER way to survive this beast. Do not live alone with RSD, seek other RSDers and talk. Otherwise you will go insane from the pain. I am "Sam Shillinglaw rsd", friend me on Facebook, i am not always a positive thinker, but I am always a RSD patient and willing to listen to you.
This is a very informative video well-done video! It also shows exactly why the new Calmare pain relief treatment works, as it did for my son, because it teaches the nerves to send a "no-pain" message instead of the pain message that the nerves have gotten stuck on. This is the answer to many of our prayers not only for our son, but for the other people who have also received this treatment. Our son has been pain-free and off of all pain meds since last June, 2010, thank God!
sorry there is so many homeopathic remedies and acupuncture treatment available for these conditions ... Dr. Prop. Shaikh G. Sadiq ... i hope and pray that allopatic system of treatment broaden their horizen and way of thinking ... ameen
This reminds me of something I had noticed. Why does nucleus have exactly zero videos on topics related to the brain, when they have such excellent ones on others?
@camcolerul1 because it wouldnt really fix it and it could bring new troubels like em... when u have an infection in that area after the nerves are cut through your body wouldnt response and it could get worse over time <- sorry for incomplete english :p
@camcolerul1 Peripheral nerve injury tends to heal well (look up Wallerian degeneration). Nerves contain, among other things, the axons of neurons (the part that conducts electric signals). The cell bodies are located in dorsal root ganglia (DRG) adjacent to the spinal cord. DRG contain the cell bodies of somatic and autonomic peripheral neurons. Killing neurons in DRG is not a good course of action for reasons that are too numerous to mention.
