  • Rise up people. Fight the federal reserve and the bankers!!!

  • This is a phenomenon will be coming to the UK thanks to David Cameron's 2012 benefit reforms, he's going to 'make work pay' WHAT WORK? THERE ARE NO JOBS!

  • diabetic needs help, po box 152, graham,florida,32042

  • We've still got delusional "Republicans" that don't think that monetary policy and off-shoring were part of this problem. BOTH sides did America in! They BOTH sold us out! STOP fooling yourselves!

  • That's like a scene from "They Live"... I don't know their stories so I'm not going to judge.

  • Motherfuckers shouldn't have agreed to the mortgage terms. Big mistake and it costs them. I also believe most of the people pictured here struggle with more than financial issues.

  • Wow. Is this the "land of liberty"? I think that Latin America is much better than this. At least here I live in a three store house with a swimming pool BOUGHT WITH MY MONEY, not with debts.

  • it's funny that when this has become a reality in the U.S., people still want socialism for America. Socialism requires a lot of money to be thrown around without anything in return, and the country is broke

  • @DrDeso1 U THINK its best to throw Billions to the crooked rich in bailouts? $800Billions in one go to wall street crooks alone Trillions on wars for the benefit of the rich OIL barrons arms manufacturers? n have over 40M americans bellow the poverty line? Capitalism brought this to AMERICA n u want more of the same? man how about all these ppl do they not have rights?

  • 100 bucks says that the people in these tents are STILL having children

  • I used to have to live in a tent for a long time with my family, then we up graded to a log cabin with one room thank goodness we upgraded to a house after all that. I feel sorry for those people going through that, living like that is not fun.

  • "Collapse" is a documentary worth watching. Aa well as "No End in SIght", "Radically Simple" and "Zeitgeist".

  • "Collapse" is a documentary worth watching.

  • We have totally lost our sense of community. We have become so self centered we dont even know the person on the corner of your street. People live in apartmentd and dont know the guy living 15 floors above him. We pass our very neighbors as stragers every day. We need to find that famous American-can-do idealogy and lift our selfs up with our own true grit. Tear down our walls and show our compassion for all to see.

  • Why don't these people seek the help from their family until they can get back on their feet though?

I'm not being judgmental here, simply asking the question =)

  • at least it all happened at once and the people can ban together. They r gonna have to learn about people who live outside and don't have anything or want anything but there next hit. Hope they think positive and turn it into a learning experiance so when they get it back together they won't be handing out money to people who will use it to make their life worse with drugs. There's light everywhere.

  • Oh my god, I had no Idea things were this bad.... I just saw the Inside Job movie and thought to check it out on youtube, this is an unbelievable situation.... How are these people managing??? are they still in tents or is everything ok now? one of my friends works in HR, she can get them some jobs...I know she cant hire many....but somethings better than nothing... just email her on michelle.edward7@yahoo.com , I hope the situation changes soon....

  • id live in a fuckin rv that shit would be dope. if only it had wifi....

  • No.. NOOOO! They are safe for terrorost. Your Brave Soldiers figh for that tents. Yoy are FREE from bad, bad vIraqi oil rich terrorost. Now you have Right to enyoy all freedom becaouse YOUR brave soldiers have spent all money on freedom of you. Bee happy!

  • Tent cities are needed to help boycott the real estate prices and lack of government caring about their own people having a place to be. There is a prophecy of few surviving at the end of the world, seems someone set up a competitive environment for this game of life on earth. So they are playing better persons games and using lies to win.

  • What can we do as people to help? waiting for the government is the wrong idea, throwing money at the problem is the wrong Idea. they need jobs and self esteem how do we help accomplish this ? If i had a mobile home or a trailer I would drive it down there and is that a solution?

  • USA greatest country in the world...

  • héhè_ÄÑy_güÿs_wãñt_tÓ_chát_wÎth_mê

  • funny that I had to look on the internet and even then only a european news company would even cover this, REAL NEWS

  • well atleast whoever is selling tents is making money

  • home of the great?

  • THE TIME FOR ANOTHER CIVIL WAR HAS COME !

    LET´S FIGHT OR DIE...!

  • The welfare system is a joke and does not provide enough for food and housing. If you work you can not make more then like 150 a week or you lose you health benifits. the welfare system is designed to keep people down instead of helping to get them out of a hole. Most people really have no clue whats happening in the country nevermind the world. We are all complacent in the system we believe to be democracy or a republic is nothing more than a facist plutocracy designed to make the rich richer!

  • IT's BY DESIGN TO MAKE RICH RICHER BECAUSE??? Figure aliens are helping them because this earth is all made to trick the human into thinking he's a body that's important and left out of the real world. Why? They already decided due to your DNA bloodlines and cooperation with their agenda. Seems to me, the best I can guess is the poor are here to die at the hands of the rich because the rich want them to sacrifice themselves so they can control big assets til their last day.

  • My fellow Americans.... please open your eyes all the way and understand the uncomfortable reality of what is happening. Our lives will change forever very very soon and pretending all is normal will only seal your fate. Please.... prepare for this by clicking my name and watching my vids (Bug out, etc) and google Infowars and prison planet. Prepare now. You owe it to your loved ones. there is a storm brewing. Only the unprepared will end up like these poor people.

  • Serious question.

Does America have a welfare system? Or is it the case that if you fall on really hard times, you have no local government support?

  • its crazy how my dream is to leave and live in a tent in nature or i dont even need a tent really (but my family doesnt want to come so for now i stick around this horrible planet killing lifestyle) and so many people who have been set free are begging to return to bondage ? i dont get humans

  • @sonofcreator2 it's because these people aren't choosing to be living in tents. the horrible economic system of our failing capitalist government is forcing them to. it's a sad situation

  • it doesn't matter which country, It can be rich country and It has own problems.

Never trust TV news They are wrong!

  • Getting rid of the ones that were in charge of this mess should be taken care of....permanently.

  • America, fuck yeah!

    pathetic.

  • Looks like capitalism is working wonderfully!

  • @jacobromu Yea let's be all like North Corea & Cuba, much better place to live!

  • @jacobromu you couldn't have said better! thanks!

  • @jacobromu Obama has no business experience. I knew he would be a economic disaster that is why I voted Palin

  • @jacobromu it's not pure capitalism that is at fault. it's 'corporatism', or a soft form a fascism. pure capitalism would never result in this. government is the mechanism that allows this sort of thing. govt in bed with business = basic definition of fascism. this sort of thing happened during the great depression. guess what? they spent, and spent, and passed the new deal, while other countries suffering ended much quicker because they did not spend and pass 'new deal's.

  • we ALL, and i mean ALL need to come together but these asswipes are great at DIVIDING US!!! They spend BILLIONS of dollars to put propaganda news on TV to DIVIDE US and make us fight amongst each other! great example: left and right political bs

  • Well this is what happens when capitalism goes unchecked or unbalanced! The poor are poorer than they were years ago and the middle class is being eliminated! My only hope is that these people who are homeless did not in their past successful lives degrade the welfare state, because i think we need it now more than ever! But of course people view social programs as free giveaways and nothing worthy of existence for people in hardships, that's why poverty will continue until the end of time

  • @Cunard51 You do not understand the issues. This is not a result of capitalism. This is a direct result of the FED blowing the real estate bubble, like so many other asset classes they inflate, and latter pop. If we used honest money and restrained the banking sector, this would not happen. Socialism is NOT the solution. Show me one example where it has worked. True freedom and liberty spreads the most prosperity and wealth to the most number of people. Handouts just create dependency.

  • @Cunard51 "the problem with socialsim is. eventually you run out of someone elses money". Margaret Thatcher

  • @MrMatchbook well we can always find someone Else's money to kill people and colonize other people's lands and nations, but never to assist and help them!

  • @Cunard51 Did I say any of what you just applied to my statement? I disagree with everything that you said accept the last But not through taking someones hard earned money to give it to someone who did not earn it. Very dishonest. Infact I would say that is stealing, which is like robbing someone of their land.

  • Well, how about when you need help from the police or fire department? What about using a library or sending your children to school? What about repairing roads? What about funding for criminals who need a lawyer? Why should the tax payers fund these things to help and protect you? Shouldn't people take care of themselves and protect themselves? Because i see a lot of elements of socalism! I can go on and on how it costs money to support and protect you every day but i won't!

  • @Cunard51. I use all those things and are there to protect my life and freedom and the life and freedom of my neighbour. We are being punished by law if we protect ourselves these days! The people in these tents fell on bad times some due to circumstance and some by way of mismanagement of what they have received. should I go broke with them even though I manage my funds to the best of my ability? I would like to help them If i could but not by force or against my will.

  • @MrMatchbook This is the problem around the world, Countries on a grand scale are sucking producing countries dry. Eventually the money will run out, does that not bother you? America will finally go broke and its because of policies like these and no accountability. would you not agree? what do you think is happening?

  • @Cunard51 it was never capitalist, when governments bail out banks and print money centrally, while subsidising the mortgage market... the US ceased being capitalist a long time ago, its just that the stupid people (like those in the video) didnt realise.

  • @Cunard51 No, this is what happens when people and governments depend on debt and the trading in debt to survive. If you are making payments on your house, car, furnature, schooling, etc. then you never own anything except debt. We have lived well beyond our means for more than 50 years and it's about to get a lot worse. Imagine what will happen when our debt riddled country can't print its way out of debt and the dollar won't even be worth using as wall paper. Hyperinflation is coming!

  • @Cunard51 Thank Wall Street money changers.

  • It seems that the world emperor has no clothes after all, and is begging in the street. This is your America, watch it crumble. Just a reminder from the Department of Homeland Security, your alert level is Orange, and your real threat is somewhere in western Pakistan.

  • People thought working hard and paying taxes was all you had to worry about; then you could leave your future in the hands of democracy. Well, you were wrong... you got scammed.

Americans are the most powerful people in the world, hands down. You could take back your country from the banksters, the politicians, the media if you really wanted too...

  • @slanten123 I am still waiting for the day when EVERYONE EVERYONE, cops included, STOP slaving yourselves or whatever you are doing and come together, go to washington and take back YOUR COUNTRY!!! Dont ASK those asswipes gov for help. WE THE PEOPLE TAKE BACK control of currency, the country, whatever. THEY NEED US more than we need them. EVERYONE stop working for days and you'll see how scared shitless they'll be. Heck the majority can take a day off on Christmas, so why cant we ALL?

  • This is really sad. These people are loyal to their Country, see flag in the back ground. This situation has been created by the few that have all the wealth. It is tragic to see this once World leading economic and military power be swallowed up by the very people that poke their beaks into every single Country in the World, when they sadly leave there own on the street.

  • @pammyoneto Uh, what does that have to do with people living on the streets, Times are tough but, if you cannot do the bare minimum of putting a roof over your head you have a serious problem.........either a mental illness and/or a addiction. It is very hard to institutionalize mentally ill people and addicts are going to keep using until they want to stop.

  • @tickyul If you wish to believe that these Americans are homeless due to addiction and or mental illness, fine. However the reason many are living in `tent cities` is because of all the manipulation and greed of those policy makers.

America likes to show the world the nice face of society when in reality so many people are having their homes repossessed by the banks due to excessive interest hikes. You have obviously not been listening to the video.

  • @pammyoneto What a bunch of horseshit, if you do not pay your mortgage it is going to get repo'ed, boooooo fricken hooooo. I have bought 3 properties and each time the conditions of the loan were spelled out very clearly BEFORE I signed the closing docs. If you are too retarded to read paperwork you deserve what you get.

  • @tickyul Well congratulations for borrowing enough money from the bank to purchase three properties. You do not own them the bank does until all the mortgages are paid in full. Perhaps you rent them out which covers your mortgage repayments. It is clear have no empathy for another`s circumstance.

I own two properties both with no mortgage, unlike you, I own them out right. I would be very careful if I was you. You are yet to learn a few lessons in life. Perhaps when you hit hard times.

  • @pammyoneto Uh, I have been through plenty of hard times. One of the things I have learned is that my shortcoming are not someone the fault of someone else. If I buy a house and it is more than I can afford and I lose it, who is to blame but me? I mean this boo-hoo mentality is just oh-so prevalent in the USA. Look at all the fatasses who will not take responsibility for shoveling food into their faces until they are ready to SPLODE, hell let's sue Burger King.

  • @tickyul Majority of people purchase a hoyse with money borrowed from a bank and are charged a fixed or variable interest rate on the repatments. All well and good if the interest charged by banks stays reasonably low. The trouble comes when interest rates are high and people have taken out mortgages when they were low. It means that they end up paying $100`s more than they had before the hike in interests rates.

This does have a great deal to do with banks and Government.

  • @pammyoneto How about people take responsibility for their own shortcomings and mistakes?????? This country will never regain its greatness if people do not stop being so spoiled. If people don't read a CONTRACT when they sign it, that is their fault. The government trying to prop up housing prices is just extending this recession and cheating responsible people out of affordable housing.

  • @tickyul

Wow. Thank you, Captain Hindsight. You're a lifesaver.

So all these people deserve to starve and die in the streets, huh?

    Got any more useless advice?

  • @Lonsoleil MOST of these people are either nuts or addicts, enabling them if far from being compassionate. I live in an area that has 1000-1200 of these stinkers roaming the streets, pissing on the sidewalk and doing drugs/dope, they wreck the environement for everyone else.

  • obamaville

  • Cool camping trip- looks like they're having fun! Wish I could go camping like that. All I have is my stupid house in Orange County. Oh well.

  • To every freakin anti-American idiot who "like" this video, when America goes down, we will have something to fall back on, YOU!

Who do you think buys your third world products?! MORONS!

  • @stainless1981

    You are kinda funny.

World is quite big and I don't think the world needs US market.

Just look at world's oil consumption.

World's oil consumption is growing but in USA is falling.

There is a strong potential in Asia and Africa (not developed yet).

Just imagine how Asian people (e.g. Chinese) laugh from a car at American homeless.

  • @SladkaPritomnost Well, those Chinese may be in for a stinky suprise, well at least if I got my wish, ship them urine covered winos over to China.

  • @AngryActivist45 yeah, but it's slowly getting there with our corrupt government. And believe it or not people in africa don't have "absolutely nothing", they have family, community, and know how to survive on their own, without government handouts. Too bad most amerikans don't

  • Part 2 - and I have been "Chasing Myself" with Chase Bank now for 3 long years and getting NOWHERE. I just filled out my 7th, 8th or 9th ??? (so many I have lost count) Application for a Loan Modification AGAIN. Not everyone that ends up homeless is on drugs. Many of us have had our houses stolen or title paperwork fraudulently done by the banks when we gave them our money in good faith for a house of straw. The banks deny us our help after they got the bailouts! Where is help for homeowners?

  • Most of the homeless people like me will not have their story told because they do not have easy access to the internet. Thanks to my friend I have a place tonight but many homeowners like me do not. I put well over $85,000 cash down on my house when I bought it - so no - I am not a "zero down" nor a subprime borrower. Also that money was well over the 20% minimum down payment required. November 2007 3 years ago - is when I asked Wall Street Crooks who stole my house for a "loan modification"

  • @mershomeowners Why did you lose your house, how many months were you behind on your mortgage?????

  • @mershomeowners Well, in hindsight you should have put minimum down and held the rest in a account for an emergency fund. The bottom line is the banks are in business to make money, if you do not pay up you are SOL, that is the way it should be in a free society.

  • the republicans answer will be to spray them with chemtrails

  • @finefilth Except for you forgot that saying there is a difference between the republicans and the democrats is like saying there is a difference between your right and left foot.

  • @TrikkyMakk my bad .. your right!

  • We can thank Obama, Pelosi , Reid & the rest of the DC elites, no jobs but when they start gettin sick from malnutrition, go to the hospital and fill up on IV's. So sad. DC given billions to auto-makers, Wall St Banks & full body scanrs for millions @ airports. Military Industl Complex not to mention Blackwater(Xe) who's subsidary of Regency/KBR/Halliburton ppl gettin paid for around 1000 ppl while multi1000's of ppl r sleepn wherever. We got change!Yes we can! 1 way 2go from the bottom. UP

  • happening here in australia as well

foreclosures on properties have increased over 100% in the 2009-2010 economic period

  • Get ready the worst is yet to come.

  • @Calvarynorwalk If you don't mind me asking, how? What extent do you think this is going to go to?

  • Mission accomplished for the Elite! Thank you ignorant self serving humanity!

  • First I saw this report in europe. Here in the states they show a 10 sec clip that's all because the sheep might be alerted what's coming from the horizon.

  • This is because our once nations of land are now shipwrecked vessels on the Sea of Souls controlled by the Universal Postal Union in Berne, Switzerland. If you want to see the real enemy of our free World forget moslem false terrorists you must focus on the KNIGHTS OF MALTA 'The Greatest Merchants on Earth' in control of the Temple Crown & financial system since the destruction of the Templars in 1314.These Maltese Knights are controlled by the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem

  • durhamdf I know It is all so crazy but people never seem to realize that our Government isn't for the People anymore , it really has become A big boys club for themselves and for big Businesses, we are not even thought of anymore. Here In Las Vegas we have reached 15% unemployment lvrj.com/.../las-vegas-unemployment-reaches-record-15-percent-105517738.html we have so many families Homeless and its just getting so sad to see.

  • @hgladys123 true that.

  • @hgladys123 Really....and the fucking government has provided 99 weeks of unemployment on top of all the other social safety nets. Plenty of help out there , even with a 14 trillion dollar national debt.

  • Keep those bums away from my LA real estate! Get a job you lazy bums! Minimum wage is enough to live on you street rats!!

  • @MrNeo2001 they would be pretty happy to HAVE a minimum wagejob at this point, most of these people are unemployed or work just a couple days a week

  • Part 2. and not giving a crap about what they are doing to there own country. Thats the problem with us here in America, we know nothing thats going on and then we bitch about the wrong person. Its simple we have no jobs here anymore due to outsourcing, so big companies can earn more money, we cannot be stable without more jobs, banks are not lending unless you have perfect credit, its a lose lose effect going on, we need to wake up !

  • @hgladys123 The days of the factory employing 10 thousand people per shift is gone for the most part. Have you heard of Computer aided manufacturing, it drastically reduces the number of people needed to manufacture a product. The fact is, China and India can make things just as good if not better than The Ole United States Of Ameritard......................and they do it much cheaper. The USA is a washed up nation.

  • I really do not understand How many Americans are Ignorant on there own country, No.1 Obama did not create this mess he Inherited it from Bush and Clinton actually started this whole process with the Banks and Lending practices, No.2 Its the House and The Senate who are making millions on Corporations who are in fact the power of our country, The President can only try to get things Passed The House has to pass it and with so many politicians only lining there own pockets

  • @hgladys123 You're absolutely right, and do you hear these so call republican "leaders" talk about how their only mission in the next 3 years is to get rid of Obama and repeal Obamacare. It's like they are saying, Oobama didn't fix the economy in 2 years so lets say screw the economy for the next 2 years'. And people eat this crap up. They say spending is what is keeping us in this mess, but the vast majority of economists say, without the massive spending we would have had 15%+ unemployment

  • @durhamdf "They say spending is what is keeping us in this mess, but the vast majority of economists say, without the massive spending we would have had 15%+ unemployment"

The implication is that "government" spending (i.e., money they've taken from the public and renamed "government") is bad. Spending by the people, buying shitty useless things from China is however, stimulating and "good" ('cos it removes wealth, power of independence, from people).

    The "money" is the PEOPLE'S.

  • @CodeTwo2 Yeah, nobody is arguing that it isn't... But the people haven't had their taxes raised one cent! The spending isn't coming out of the peoples pockets right now, it is coming out of China's pockets and raising the defecit. But any economist will tell you that the middle of a recession is the wrong time to address the defecit. Keynesian economis: The govt. should spend AND cut taxes during a recession.

  • @durhamdf Yes, and I gave a rather sarcastic view of the situation, albeit mostly true. Thing is here, this is NOT a "regular" recession (if there ever was such a thing). No likely beneficial steps are being taken that might kickstart anything pertaining to the underlying good health of the economy, short- or longterm. "Bailout" is broadly adding to the problem, since no productive investment is ensuing. No meaningful spending, no tax cuts, no nothing.... defecit is God. Suspicious?

  • @CodeTwo2 I agree that the spending could have been targeted a lot better, and there were a lot of backroom deals that determined where bailout money went instead of where it was most useful and stimulative. But that being said, I think that the reason the recesion has dragged on and the recovery has been jobless is because the big companies are sitting on record amounts of money in their treasuries still testing the waters before they jump back in. and this translates to slow growth.

  • I worry that this is what we will see accross the country in the next two years. How will the people in the colder climates be able to do this?

We will have to help each other and our neighbors to get through this.

Is this why Obama has raised his own private militia? Or what else does that iposter have in store for us. I feel like he is playing out some kind of sick twisted punishment that he thinks we deserve.

  • @LoyaltotheUSA haha are you seriously spouting off about the so called "fema concentration camps" ? Obviously you don't listen to Glenn's own advice when he tells people to look it up for themselves. Turns out that arial picture of the so called "wyoming detention center" was actually of a forced labor camp...in NORTH KOREA!!!! HAHAH Fox has made half of this country retarded because they are too stupid or lazy to look up rediculous claims for themselves. You just got Obamowned

  • I worry that this is what we will see accross the country in the next two years. How will the people in the colder climates be able to do this?

We will have to help each other and our neighbors to get through this.

  • This is fucked up. FUCK U OBAMA!! WHAT ARE U DOING TO HELP?!!

  • @GQchris75 Teabaggers,Republicans, people calling him names,Fox news every single day bashing him,do you think he has much of a chance to do much with every one on his ass every singe day.Dont blame him as much as blame the people holding him back from doing his job.Every time he try's to do some thing Fox and the Republicans with the help of the tebaggers stop the progress.Republicans want to help the rich not these people, they got their votes so dont expect help for these people.

  • @almostcapecod Haha, he had his two years to get things done. Now, I am glad to say, the Republirats will have some say in the process.............SHUT ER DOWN BOYS!!!!! I do not trust either the Republirats or Demorats, do not want either party to gain too much power for too long. SHUT ER DOWN BOYS!!!!!!!!!

  • this place has become a hellhole back then u used to fear the gangbangers now its them triggerhappy cops intimidarting peoples

  • Anyone notice how overweight some of these people are? If you're homeless in America you certainly will not starve! I feel bad for these folk but they are lacking homes not calories. I guess we can throw money away on the failed drug war and wars in the Middle East but not enough to help those who need help.

  • The Gov't wants to completely eliminate the "middle class" and have Rich & Poor that's it!

and we haven't seen the worst of it yet, even since this tape was made there's tent cities in almost every city on the West coast and Mid west.

    God help us all!

  • @atlasshrugged2u

    It's called third world country.

  • @allespenner I heard that! God! I can't believe this is actually happening?...

  • @atlasshrugged2u

hey, at least they stay warm most of the year. God help us all when this reaches the east coast!

  • @DaRkLyDrEamiNg000 tell me about it! I'm on the East Coast. I live in a pretty lucrative city that's not really "feeling" the crisis quite like these poor people, but of course we have our homeless and such however we have soup kitchens all over, shelters, and meals on wheels. We also have somewhere to "hide" all these people at certain times of the day when all the tourists come to spend their money! Gosh, it's all so "surreal" that I'm actually seeing this in my lifetime.

  • @atlasshrugged2u

Sorry but "god" can't do shit. He/she/it hasn't helped humanity so far so why start now? The only thing that's going to help America is a good old fashioned revolution. And when the double-dip recession comes along, it might even happen.

  • @h2ons To someone who belongs to God and knows Him in my everyday life I have to respectfully

disagree. We definitely have to help ourselves and we have to be humble enough to "ask" God for his help and many "do not" want to that. You personally don't like Authority period, whether it's from God, the law, your Parents or intimate realtionships. You have to give in to that sooner or later because it's a "respect" thing, and if you don't, you will end up alone. Good luck and God Bless :)

  • @atlasshrugged2u It's almost like Brazil. Extreme opposites in the same city. There's almost no Middle Class, or you're poor or you're rich. Nowadays things are getting better. There's an increasing number of people moving from poverty tilMiddle Class.

  • @atlasshrugged2u It's not the government that is the root cause of this. It's the effects monetarism and its infinite growth mechanisms that it perpetrades. Money is infinite, the worlds resources are not. We need to share our wealth without money.

  • They don't show anything of any importance on the mainstream media.

Control the flow and type of news reported and you control the thought of the masses. People who think can be very dangerous to a corrupt government.

    M=m3 MANIPULATION = MONEY x MEDIA x MANPOWER

  • @Machinka Couldn't have said it better myself! You are exactly right.

  • "Its called the American Dream because you've got to be asleep to believe it" - George Carlin

  • The only reason people lose their homes in the "mortgage crisis" is because they STOPPED PAYING FOR THEM. No one "lost" their home; they had them repossessed. There's a difference. This is not the government's fault- its a lack of personal responsibility and responsibility on the part of the people who bought those homes. No one forced them to sign on the 1000s of signature lines to purchase!

  • @min2758 I hear what your saying but the banks, and sub prime deals "bated" people into doing it; yes they should have known better, and not been so greedy taking more than they needed. The System very cunningly appealed to their instict for a home at an unprescidented low interest rate, not explaining that in a few years it could almost double their mortgage payments and let's face it, most people don't read the fine print, thought they could handle it. So I feel sympathy for them.

  • @atlasshrugged2u Well, if they were that dumb.......I guess they deserved to lose their home. I have bought 3 properties and I went over the loan documents for each property very completely, would have brought in a lawyer if I felt it was needed.

  • @tickyul We'll good for you; however everyone is not like that. It certainly "common sense" to me but the banks KNEW what kind of manipulation they were offering and people who wanted the proverbial "American Dream" thought this was the way. Yes they were not smart, but try not to be so "judgemental" because you've made mistakes that you regret as well, and wished you would have done things different at some point in your life; that's all I'm saying.

  • The "American Dream" is officially over....

Get ready for The American Nightmare :-(

  • @doomz78 busy covering the war. American soldiers should be where they are needed, in the borders of the USA., peace.

  • but we need to send money over sees to help the home less over there i mean wtf people we really need to address this clean up our own back yard first i think we should start a petition and call for americans by americans and it should detail a way to fix this thing like open up the houses that are sitting empty and kick the shit out of the fat bastards who started this whole economy problem

  • @deadman5281 I am mexican, I think the best thing the USA can do is move the army in Afganistan and Irak to the border with mexico, and create more bases there. Put people in the ground and protect your border....The rejected mexicans and southamericans there would create instability in their countries and shake down the political systems there, it is the hard way, but would go in the direction of progress, but what do I know?. I am canadian citizen as well and I dont care what happens there ;)

  • @QuantumProphet Uh, no we have more important things to do......like stay in Trashcanistan until 2014 and meddle around in Eye-wreck for the next 20 years. I think Mexico is really getting nasty, hopefully the Narcos don't have or can't get rocket launchers, tanks, combat helicopters, jets...etc, etc or it could get a lot worse.

  • Was always a six figure guy...had my own business...moving into my van tomorrow...not easy...but easier than sleeping on the ground...did that Monday night when my company left me stranded in Texas. But in the end so many people gave me rides and helped me out...don't know why I am posting this...I am not ashamed because I am honest..I fukked up and hopefully will recover...rock on...

    tik

  • @sixtiksix Did you work for Arrow?

  • To have a kid, you're required to have a house, therefore required to have insurance on that house, therefore required to have business ties with a bank.

To live, you must surrender to a bank.

  • @Wodenhelm Truest words! I've been saying this for years, no one is able to just buy their necessities, almost everything is fucking financed! roof over your head = mortgage, transportation (a car) = financed, education = loans, furniture/electronics = financed, then add on credit cards, lines of credit, insurance etc etc, and you're forever enslaved to fucking banks and corporations. There was a time when ppl just saved and bought what they needed.

    Capitalism = monetary dictatorship

  • @PMeursault

    "Capitalism = monetary dictatorship"

No, I think this sad situation is result of freedom. It's bitterness of democracy. You still have right to speak freely.

I come from Eastern Europe (Slovakia, former Czechoslovakia) housing standards were poor. But everyone has a job and housing. This was guaranteed by government although undemocratic. But his nice fairy tale went to bankruptcy. And people in Eastern Europe were thrill to live like these on the West.

  • @SladkaPritomnost Exactly, there needs to be more parties available to vote for. They keep the system setup so you can only vote for 2 parties. Which, by the way, they fully control. People buy into the lies, it's truly crazy. However, you said freedom was the problem. Nope, having no freedom is the problem. You may still have some of your physical freedoms where you can speak what you want to your friends and family. But go out into the streets and protest and they'll lock you down. (cont.)

  • @EazySPM well, here is my comment on that....In mexico there are three main parties, and like a 12 of others plus some times more that are only state parties so far.....What hapopens there is that the party in power sometimes manages small parties to divide the vote.....so this strategy may not work...what the USA needs is a transparent democracy, perhaps reduce federal tax, give more to state tax, and what about moving the federal to a municipal/city/regional tax?.

  • (Cont.) They use the Media to control the way people think. They use Congress to make laws to benefit themselves and the Government as a tool for them. Corporations are under their funding. Look up the Bank for International Settlements, research the Federal Reserve (Thats what they use to keep America in debt). This stuff is up on the internet, you just have to look. We need to unite. Thumbs up if you agree. The truth shall set you free.

  • People need to stop looking at this decline in our "utopia" brought on by either Democrats or Republicans. People need to wake up and see that both parties are controlled by International Banks! You see this video dont you? Do you still refuse to believe that we are living in the New World Order? These banks have been solidifying themselves into the American nation for over a century. (Cont.)

  • @EazySPM

    "Democrats or Republicans"

you kind of right. 2 parties shouldn't be called freedom

  • @SladkaPritomnost It's the fact that we're not free MENTALLY. They keep us tied down to a system where they tell you what to think. Even if you may not notice it, they tell you what to believe. They don't let you see in other perspectives, outside of what they're teaching you through Mass Media( music, news, TV, movies.) I understand the situation is poor in Eastern Europe, that's exactly what the banks created. They keep people poor and uneducated and they're easier to rule. We're all together.

  • So sad for that woman to be ashamed of being poor.

  • capitalism at its best <3

  • Oh my gawd....Is this really happening? This is 3rd world shit.

  • THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU VOTE REPUBLICAN FOLKS, NOW YOU SEE HOW GREAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE AND HOW STUPID AND BACKWARD US COMMUNIST EUROPEANS ARE HAHA.

  • @SvalbardJanMayen1976 the spending of people like pelosi and liberals like barbara boxer elected in california cause this shit... the spending has to stop, the tax burdens must be lowered so people to have some spare money to invest, start buisnesses, or buy some goddamn milk. the economy grows and the deficit goes down when conservative republicans are elected... not liberal keep spending retards who dont adress the problems and keep spending on crap government programs.

  • @akallstar5 well actually this all got started under the Republikkkans, not the dems, sorry. The governor of California is a Republikkkan, ask him about it

  • When the hell is enought going to be enough AMERICA stand up to your Banking bullies. grow sime balls and demand a Fed reserve AUDIT

  • @doomz78 the BBC seems to have a big interest in the crap going on in the US. i wonder why?

  • the US used to have slums. these arent slums. if you read up on history look at new york chicago phili. in the 1800s the europeans were immigrating in the hundred of thousands and multiple families can be living in on tenement room sized apartments. they were highly flamable too.
