Why would you coerce anyone into doing such undignified work?
Are you not for individual freedom? The good thing about economic inequality is that people are forced to do shitty jobs like that to survive. Most anarchists say people shouldnt be forced to do what they dont want to, at least if they know what anarchy means.
Then there are so-called 'market anarchists' which arent anarchists but libertarians. They suck especially hard.
We are all forced into circumstances because of decisions we make in life. Who's fault is this? Not that persons fault huh? It's never their fault. Its Bill gates fault because he's rich.
Most likely steady transition. Violent revolution requires people to be in control of armies if you intend to succeed. That would result in a new government.
Perhaps you could envision two possible ways. One would be a really long and gradual process probably spaning many decades or even centuries. Or, another possibility being the result of some sorts of collamities such as wars and/or natural disasters. I find the latter hard to imagine ending up in a civilized anarchy but I don't know really. In any case, I think technological advances would play a huge role in facilitating the mechanisms that could make anarchy work.
At the incredible rate we are developing technology (internet is to FCC), and becoming closer and closer to one another as a result (Facebook, youTube), I believe we will realize the evils of using coercion to achieve things, cast off the state and people will see themselves in a new light!
Why do you tease me like that? Now I have to wait 5 days. :)

Who's going to clean the toilets in a stateless society?

I'll do it, if you clean the cat box. Deal?

Yes, cause we know the state does that now.

If we are talking practical ... Will it be revolution or steady transition?
