  • I just went to the 'Falcon Ridge' Developments there.. they have done a great job but unfortunatley due to the resscion it has temporarily stopped.. but this year are going to start building again :) The trains are in Australia :)

  • What a twit, why the hell did he close that line and build Villas on it instead, the man's mad!

  • @Firrboxfryup It was because of health and safety and people compencating against them because they tripped over the track when there is no sign stating that theres a track there and if they didnt get the neccessary signs theyd have to close.

And guess what they actually closed it the ****** sorry lol.

  • Dobwalls forever!!

  • My family and I are heartbroken, We visited every year for years only missing last year when we were making arrangements for this year we found it was gone already. We didn,t get to say goodbye!

  • I went here a couple of times as a child. I loved it everytime. Trains and a big adventure playground.

My little boy i snow 3 and I was going to take him next year. This really is sad. Lack of money is the deciding factor here. If it had been nearer london maybe it would of stayed open. But as always land prices etc and they can make more money from that

  • Sad to learn a few months ago about the closure of the park. I travelled on it in 1970 when it had just opened and several times in the intervening years. Last visited in Spring 2004 with my two young daughters who enjoyed the ride and also the other park attractions. Now all we have left is photos and lovely clips such as this one.

  • Totally agree , the art gallery within the adventure park was always dead with the only movement being the tumbleweeds that blew across the floor . What on earth were they thinking ??

  • Stupid local newspaper , building up my hopes for nothing . You can now see more videos on the locomotive auction site , just go to locomotiveauction dot comm

  • I don't know if that's fair to the Guardian - the Southern family has been very cagey about the future of the engines, and the paper's only repeating what it's been told by them. Personally, I think this 'arts centre' is a result of delusions of cultural grandeur. I imagine it will fall on its arse in a couple of years.

  • They are now to be auctioned, in November

  • Not true , according to a local newspaper article dated 6th June 2007, such was the feeling towards the trains they are now staying although everything else will be going . Its just the go-carts , slides , swings and play areas that are being demolished . It will also be changing its name as well .

  • Sadly no more
