Thank you SOOOO much for posting this! I have been looking for Galina and that beautiful song, for a really long time.... If you happen to find the song, PLEASE let me know. :)
Worlds Greatest Magic was one of my favorite annual Magic Specials of the 90's. Champions of Magic, the Copperfield Specials, the David Blaine street Magic specials. Oh it was great to be a Magician in the 90s!
I mean it's pretty and all... but i don't get the amazement in it. especially since a lot of it is highly suspect of being gimmicky, it may not be... but i can't see how else it possibly could be done without them. unless she's the one pulling on any strings that may be making the stuff float, then I'd be very impressed
Magic is much more than its secrets behind the illusion - it's also the performance. This woman is extremely elegant in her performance. The same secret could be performed hundreds of times - and I know I've seen the same trick performed multiple times - but I've seen countless different PERFORMANCES - some great, some bad. This here is one of the best performances of these illusions.
@RPGgrenade How do you think the dancing handkerchief is done? What she has done here is create an ILLUSION, and she has done it so gracefully and with such perfect timing that it IS amazing.
the women of magical history would have to bow to this young womens creativity. thase aren't "tricks" they are magical moments I wish her great success.thank you ms davies for sharing this. hope all is well.
i used to have a girlfriend - galina (but) i think she left me after my second trip to see her - it took meeeeeeeeeeeeeee a whole day to get to her - bright eyes , how can the light that shined soooooooooo brightly suddenly shine soooooooooo pale - bright eyes - what a journey - she was a ex dancer as well
A trained circus performer from the Ukraine, Galina met and married an English magician/comic during a European club tour back in the '90s. They teamed up to create a new act, had a daughter, and now live in Australia, NO ONE has come close to her performance talents, since.
@glyndavies - have been enjoying looking through your videos very much - thank you! if you like, there's a video of our show that you can find in my tiny collection :)
to get the music from this video performance, just got her website and request it. i emailed her and she sent me the music. dont give your email to TheDragon1, just go to her website and send an email.
@blueprep I have e-mailed galina without reply several, several times. I have been dieing to own this song for nearly ten years, could you please help me an send a mp3 thanks!!! hansvanhooser@yahoo.com
I have been looking for this video for a real, long, long time. I was watching a show and the term "Galina" popped up! It just clicked, I had forgotten her name until now!
I love Glyndavies for posting this! I have it on VHS but the machine broke! I could watch this over, and over, and over again! Thanks Glyn! Your awesome!
To my fellow commenters and fans of Galina, thanks to glyndavies posting Galina's new official web site I was able to contact Galina and she herself replied to me (which I'm just deeply honored and flustered by). The mysterious song was created especially for her by a composer who's name she does not know. But, one of my life's quests has come to an end as she was amazingly kind enough to send me the song along with her reply. If you'd like it, give me your email address in a private message.

This clip is from World's Greatest Magic III, aired late 1996 -- so just more than a decade old. The Linking Rings is from a Paul Daniels show, dated February 1992 (according to the BFI database), which makes it 5 years older.
I believe the song is "Scene d'amour" not the one from vertigo. Sarah Brightman sings this song in her CD and DVD 'Eden'. Although she is not the one on Galina's Act. All the same I think it's the same song.Worth checking out. Enjoy...
I amazingly had the biggest priviledge of seeing this performed live last Saturday night. Galina is part of the cast of a stage show called "Zingara" which is on at Conrad Jupiters (for any Aussies here). My jaw just slammed on the floor when she came out and begun.
Galina does feature alot in the show but unfortunately her magic performances are limited to just this one act, but is still amazing to see in the flesh even after seeing it on here numerous times beforehand
Would be really nice if we find some performance of her from these days... I remember watching this performance when I was a child... I felt absolutely amazed by her grace and beauty
Wow, good to see her here again!... my vhs broke. :) I've loved this music and performance for over 7 years! If anyone does know the name of the song-- let me know at once! Hey! Too bad this show doesn't exist anymore, huh?
Oh My God. I used to have this on video. I used to love watching it totally bewitched by the music. Please, If anybody out there knows what the track is, let me know.
My god, thank you for posting this glyndavies...I have this on a video tape somewhere I cannot locate, and it is by far one of the most beautiful things I have heard and witnessed...
Now, I ask any one reading this...does anyone know what song it is she used for this performance? No one has been able to answer me in years of searching and asking...

This was done live on stage well over ten years ago. Highly doubtful any photoshopping could have been done.
