Answer is in 1 Corinthians 14:13-14 For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. When you speak a language an area of the mind is fired up, but when you speak in a tongue that area of the mind is not fired up. She was talking about how committed Muslims are to their faith and wants Christians to be committed too. She is talking about the boldness that Muslims have. Speaking in tongues is only one gift of the Holy Spirit. When people are first filled with the Holy Spirit they speak in tongues because their spirit is praying to God. In 1 Corinthians 14 the Apostle Paul is encouraging people to receive all that God has for them. He wanted people to grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
I used this quote from the book "You May All Prophesy" by Steve Thompson. "Prophecy is "hearing" from God and speaking what you hear in order to build, comfort, or encourage someone. To prophesy is to hear from God and speak to people". It is speaking divine encouragment. If you do not know God how do you know if God is speaking? The gift of tongues is like honey to those who do not know God because they ask questions about the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Because many people do not know what speaking in tongues is? Not scary if you know what it is. One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is not scary to the kids because they are taught about this gift. I spoke in tongues ever since I was a little child like this. Lots of Pentecostal churches speak in tongues. Read Acts chapter 2 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 you were frighten because you did not understand what was happening. Lot of churches speak in tongues and lots of children speak in tongues at church (mostly Pentecostal but their are others) I spoke in tongues as a little child and still do. Not scary. Tongues is praying in different languages that the person does not know the Holy Spirit enables this gift. It is not forced it is a choice to have this gift.
Just trying to explain what speaking in tongues is and where it is in the Bible. You do not have to agree. Not forcing you to agree. Becky reminds me of the dance teacher in the show "Dance Moms". I think her heart is in the right place but, she is a little misguided in some areas. Very bold, says things the wrong way at times, wants committed kids, want the kids to be great, hard on the kids, see things from her point of view, and can have a soft spot in her heart in the end. The protest part was a misguided mistake the point was teaching commitment in protesting something but, she should of choose another way to do it.

This is not true "talking in tongues" practice. There is to be one or two at the most speaking in tongues and there must be an interpreter else the person is to stay silent with the prayer. Read 1&2 Corinthians, so that you may see for yourself.

@narutix07 It is just babbling. Tongues reflects a series of consonant sounds that mirror the speakers native language. It only resembles a language as it seems to flow and have inflection, pitch and tone etc that make it seem authentic. It is also interesting to note that if a tongues speaker leaves christianity, they can still speak in tongues after if they so wish.

Read Acts chapter 2 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 you were frighten because you did not understand what was happening. Lot of churches speak in tongues and lots of children speak in tongues at church (mostly Pentecostal but their are others) I spoke in tongues as a little child and still do. Not scary. I do not agree with everything she does. More into focusing on forgiveness. Yes teach right and wrong but, forgiveness must be key because it will last even when people fail. When I say forgiveness I mean turn you life around and go on. Word forgiveness is used wrongly. I would teach the kids in a different way then her. I am more into mercy and justice teachings. I do not agree with everything she does. I watched the movie to learn from the kids. I would do things differently. Should focus more on the forgiveness of God. Even when taken to account that a lot of her sermons was cut off and pasted together in the film I do not agree with all her methods. I think she is just misguided and should focus more on grace. I do not think the kids are brainwashed because they sounded very smart to me. I think the kids will turn out to be good caring adults.

Becky reminds me of the dance teacher in the show "Dance Moms". I think her heart is in the right place but, she is a little misguided in some areas. It only resembles a language as it seems to flow and have inflection, pitch and tone etc that make it seem authentic. It is also interesting to note that if a tongues speaker leaves christianity, they can still speak in tongues after if they so wish.

Y'know, those 'tongues' are supposed to be 'strange new languages'. But they seem to either fall in two catagories. Either random syllables (Hokorabashidabladodo!) or 'down syndrome kid having a seizure' (hwablaaahhuurblblbbaaaeeh!)
Now where are those things that sound like these languages made up mostly of consonants?
Heh, actually speaking in tongues is utterly hilarious to me though. They're making some random sounds and thinking it's a magic miracle. Shows how stupid humans can get.

The holy spirit can make you speak in tongues and so can an evil spirit. Thats I corinthian the 14 chapter says have interpertation. To see whether it be of God or not. I saw exorcist and this look like those kids need an exorcist. Who is your lord God above or Satan below. Choose ye this day whom you will serve
