@Qlasettaja Russia has the best aircraft in the world no doubt about it. However; there is a reason why when a LAV or a Bradley gets blown up in Baghdad and a PATRIA doesn't. Taliban simply cancel their missions. I read all about these monsters. But you are correct. Russia has couple things they make that are made very well and no country could beat. We should not forget Russia's greatest legacy: The Ak-47.

@DjCroatia1993 The Taliban are not in Bagdad, they are in Afganistan. Don't know of but a few examples where a LAV or Bradley were destroyed. Russia makes some good stuff without a doubt, but the best equipment on the ground or in the air is US made.

@Qlasettaja Russia lost its military manufacturing base during the 1990's. They have never regained it. Their military is only a shadow of what it once was. Most of its equipment is getting very old and needs replacement yet the country can only afford a few high profile projects while trying to maintain the little it has. Russias military has serious military problems.

@barfumer Yes. I do find it a shame that most of the worlds AK-47's are made in China. It amazes me, a good weapon should be made in its own country. The Chinese no offence to them but they really have no idea how to produce things. They are too cheap. They may have a good military; I mean they got one of the best tanks in the world. But over-all they're really not about quality.

@barfumer Yes. Their Abrams may be a "beast" but its got a major disadvantage. The reason they get destroyed is because the Taliban know those tanks need to refuel every two hours. By the time the chopper comes to refuel the tank takes 30-40 minutes. By then the tank is already destroyed if its not protected by a convoy of at least 2 Humvee's and 10-12 foot soldiers. Americans don't really know much about tactical warfare, especially in urbanized combat.

Fully electornic means usually that is it very easy to destroy. For instance in modern tanks the biggest problems are the electronic shooting mechanisms. Even if the tank seems fine on the outside the shocks caused by the enemy or just moving can easily break some of the electronic parts.

The problem with EMP is that it is not something you shoot at every tank that comes to pass by.

It requires a quite big explosion to generate electromagnetic field (usually generated by nuclear explosions)

It is used more at stuff like airports and powerplants etc big objects to bring them down.

Using such would be a huge waste at tanks in the middle of thick forest in which you can't see from air.

First of all, how do you shoot 10 000 grenades out of one weapon in a minute? maybe with 50 weapons or a hundred that could be possible. And even if it can shoot that fast, loading would be impossible for that kind of amount of ammunitions.

I also watched some sort of document about that weapon. Designers said that it isn´t designed to be offensive weapon and the best scenario for that gun is for example defending a base. I rest my fucking case!!

There is nothing better in metal storm compared to NEMO. And you have to realize that metal storm shoots 40mm grenades, not the full 120mm combat grenade.
