I went to the Michael Jackson exhibition a couple of weeks ago. It was well worth it, as somehow i felt closer to him, with all his stuff there. Seems silly really as i never knew the man, but i saw him live at wembley in 1997 and it was awesome. I also had tickets to one of the gigs at the 02 but sadly he never made them. It would have been the greatest show of all time, im convinced of that... I still miss him today, but if you get upset watching this - go and put Billie Jean on, it helps :-)

The fact that he was unhappy with and obsessed with his appearance is a disorder that affects many people, and the root of it is usually a disfunctional childhood. Our childhood makes us or breaks us, period.

He was a deeply sensitive humanitarian that used his fame and money to help as many people as possible individually as well as bring attention to various issues and causes that affect people around the world.

Even after he was found innocent, the media would never leave the man alone. He was accused, taunted, hated and made fun of for the rest of his life. That was his breaking point. The man didn't have a fighting chance. In this country we put people on a pedestal and then rejoice in tearing them down.
