Continue your pursuits. No one ever said the T-bone is a male instrument. Besides(I am a male T-bone player) I have played in three bands(H.S., college and community) and the best (and most dedicated) players were female.
In high school, the first chair T-bone was a girl that became our drum major our senior year. She was outstanding. She took piano lessons which helped her sight read well, besides she had loads of talent.
That trombone solo is amazing. To move through his range like that without losing those nice sudtle articulations.
