Georgians call nagazi to Short haired aborigen dogs. in 18-19 centuries Nagazi was taken from Georgia and by crosing another dogs russians got Caucasian shepherd(long haired). after, they began to cross Nagazi to different dogs and got Gamprs. about CAO my apologize, i didnt knew, CAO is as old breed as Nagazi. they are NOT taken from Caucasus.

@brightlights456X they are smaller, but also their skin is not as thick, German shepherd might have a slight edge in smarts and knowing when to blow up and when not to, CO is just an assasin Dog it does not care where how when it goes for the kill, German shepherd is little more calm, both of them are very smart though, but from what I have seen German shepherd might be tiny bit smarter.

As an former owner of Caucasian ovcharka I found this video really interesting.This is the most beautyful dog ever.Needs a lot attention but is very inteligent and problem solving of all my dogs.I miss my Aslan.They are popular in Poland but often kept in small yards to guard the property and hardly ever exercised.And this is when they can become aggressive.Very smart dog for smart owners.
