  • Sheer. Bloody. Class.

  • Just MUSIC ...

  • Linda Ronstadt suffers from Hashimoto disease, which is a debilitatin thyroid condition that almost ruined her life. You people are ridiculous. Go pick on Whitney Houston. Everything she did was a choice. Fools. Listening to possibly the greatest voice that ever sang popular music and that's all you can say. Great parents you all must have.

  • That should have been Lady GAG GAG

  • Beautiful.....just beautiful!

  • w la musica country, w gli USA!!

  • Who is Lady Gaga

  • @alexutzuRTA94: Then just listen, don't look.

  • They all sound great...this is raw talent of which we don't see much of these days/

  • 全然ダイエットしないLinda、彼女らしいな

    彼女の生き方を感じます

    美声は健在です

  • I have been a fan of Lindas since 1972. However, I attended two concerts in the 1990's, and not political rallies, where she lashed out against people she did not agree with politically, me included, in the most disrespectful and insuting way. From that time on I have still enjoyed her music, but remember the ugly words she voiced, and it has always remained with me. I don't care how much wieght she has gained or whatever. I don't care. She has a lovely voice and a great idea of what sound great

  • NO disrespect but dolly parton looks like an ex pornstar

  • @alexutzuRTA94 And sings like an angel -- who cares what she looks like.

  • beautiful.

  • Linda is superb....they are all gorgeous........

  • They sing so beautifully together. Its the voices first. She's a lovely women Just not a pretty girl any longer.

  • Nice and beautiful song from 3 terrific singers indeed...but Linda's solo parts are extraordinary...her voice is still as powerful and tender as I remember from her earlier years...incredible.

  • question from Holland;

like to know the name of man in blue blouse?

  • Angelic harmony.

  • oh ist das nicht toll, hmmm ich könnte so dahin schmelzen........... ich finde auch alle drei hübsch, aber ist das nicht egal?!

  • A beautiful song by three beautiful ladies......

  • putting a band together ~ shooting for something like this...

  • How Beautiful..So Beautiful...

  • what a trio of beauties

  • I see that even though they have many places to put comments, haters still show up here. Linda, Dolly and Emmylou have shown more talent in their little fingers than these obtuse, dull-minded, critics of this talented trio could ever have in their lives. Go back to your Lady Gaga, Aerosmith and Metallica hangouts. Leave the adult music to adults.

  • @morna45 Hey, I love this music it's very beautiful but also love Aerosmith and Metallica. Please don't catagorize them with Lady GagGag! These ladies have awesome voices!!

  • damn, this is a great song. I still have it on my mp3 player. their voices combined are so beautiful.

  • Idiots!! All haters.

  • LINDA....MARAVILHOSA....PODEROSA....SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER....

    LINDA RONSDATD....

  • So much shit going on in the world, usually caused by your and global elites,.. I still love you guys,.. The spirit of America is a call for humanity,.. Please protect your constitution and rights guys,.. It is really sad for me to say so,.. but you guys probably are the last remnant of free society. Your children should be studying constitution and liberties daily,..

  • So beautiful...

  • One of the most beautifull songs I ever heard in my life.

  • Hmmm....At 4:00, unless my ears deceive me, it's a peddle steel. I've enjoyed this version for many years on this album and also see and hear fiddle solo synch inaccuracies. Check it out. However, in the scheme of things, this is quite unimportant when I hear again how beautiful this song truly is.

  • So what if a woman has a perfect figure? As if she has nothing but superficial about her makeup inside and out that is not perfect beauty anyway. Linda was of a perfect figure in the past but was humble and cute about it all. Beautiful inside and out. So she gained weight? Even if not because of illness, she is still beautiful inside and out! So for anyone that judges Linda: Close your eyes and listen to why singers like her are the best;Listen to the voice singing from the heart.

    LOVE!

    m the

  • SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • Just realized it's lip synced. I hear pedal steel and there is none on stage. This audio is from the cd. Still.......a beautiful tune.

  • @zydecook looked he was in the background around 3:31

  • @zydecook Nope, no pedal steel there. Not lip synched.

  • So much fun adding a fourth to them.

  • I've been 200 lbs & I've been 100...& you know what? I've always been MYSELF

  • im just sitting here listening to this over and over, with tears streaming down my face

  • Thanks for posting these....great music.

  • Beautiful beautiful stuff.

Recently Ive been seeking out natural ,acoustic music almost compulsively; Bluegrass Bands, Country and Folk, The various Classical guitar schools, String Quartets and of course beautiful Vocal music like this.

I now find that when I hear music thats overproduced (especially heavy compression to the point where theres no actual difference between the loud and soft parts) It causes an almost physical pain.

  • This is truly humbling!

  • Emmylou even more stunning with white hair...how rare is that?

  • She had thyroid problem that cause the weight gain. Linda is one of a kind.

  • @elmar9

Thanks for identifying the bass player.

  • To all of those who are commenting on Linda's weight- what are you even doing here? Go back and listen to your Lady Gaga records- this is real music- beyond your auditory capabilities to understand.

  • @NashvilleBill people do not know that powerfull people who once whur skinny and lean often gain extra wieght and become heavy set later in their lives, it has nothing to with over eating and indulging necessarily but simply that it is a part of the human condition with people who become powerful and who are powerful. i liked linda when she was candy for the eyes and easy on the eyes and sexy but power does things to people and those people in power should not be judged so easily.

  • @NashvilleBill Absolutely. Was privileged to hear her in concert back in the 70's. And for all we know there may be a medical reason for the weight gain.

  • @NashvilleBill well said

  • @NashvilleBill haters gotta hate. that's their job.

  • @NashvilleBill Linda Rondstadt is a talented musician and these haters have nothing better to do than troll videos all day in the basement of their moms house.

  • @NashvilleBill Music is felt as much as heard. We weren't put on this earth to judge others for their looks or weight, but we sure can enjoy this fantastic music by three living angels.

  • what about a quartet with Olivia Newton John? that would had been something to remember

  • Equally Special, all are exciting. But "only one will Live to tell.

  • Forty years ago I treated badly a wonderful sweet girl -- stupid, stupid, stupid. Beautiful sorrowful songs such as this cut my guilty soul to the quick. And yet like a moth entranced by open flame I can't stay away from such a sublime song as this. Bjorg I apologize for breaking your heart. Would that I could rewind the tape of time and love you as deeply as you loved me.

  • Linda is so good here her voice is beautiful ...

  • RIP Harley Allen

    great great songwriter

  • Linda's pipes are so incredible, what a beautiful vocalist, I have everything she's ever recorded. She had the hardest working voice in show business for years and understandably. She can sing anything, any genre she takes on, she rocks it!

  • 3 good lookers fuckers; no way around it

    \

  • Harley Lee Allen (January 23, 1956 - March 30, 2011).

Thanks for this beautiful song and all the music and fun times in Nashville. You will be sadly missed.

  • Comment removed

  • Many, many thanks to you fine, fine musicians for immortalizing Harley Allen's beautiful tune. Those of us who've been rained on in the Sierra's high lonesome know what a glory it is.

  • Beautiful so beautiful...

  • Beautiful, still sounds the same. Timeless music!

  • Is it reality TV that is making people so quick to criticize? - shallow, pinch faced shrews disguised as critics.... oops does this make me guilty?

Build a better world through your constructive comments, rather than put downs.

That being said, I LOVE ALL OF "The Trio"!!!

  • There are no words. Wow.

  • @Byron House

That's Sam Bush on mando and Larry Franklin on fiddle- two of the world's finest musicians.

  • @NashvilleBill Guess I already said that didn't I? Shoulda checked the post you replied to before I replied...

  • Notice the Mando and Fiddle player exchanging amazed smiles at Linda's soul melting vocal power at about 1:51.... good to know I'm not the only one being impressed.

  • 7 people don't know a power trio when they see one!

  • Can't ever get tired of this beautiful 3 part harmony,... from 3 beautiful women !!!

  • Wonderful singing, but are they lip synching? Don't seem to be. This is the full studio recording of the instruments....including steel and a twelve string guitar....I think. Loved Linda and Emmylou for many many years. Saw Linda at the Orpheum theater in Boston with Lowell George circa 1973 and emmylou first in 1977 in Western Mass.

  • Early to mid 90s.....you can tell Linda is beginning to put on some weight here. But the thing is, even though Emmylou's voice is beginning to crack due to years of smoking, all 3 of them still sound just as strong as ever, even today.

  • @MultiBaldEagle so what if linda is fat. get over it. she still has a beautiful voice!

  • @jimnado1 You obviously have me confused with someone else. I am probably the world's biggest Linda Ronstadt fan!

  • Why wasn't musical legend VICTORIA BECKHAM asked to appear on this recording or better still could the producers just have just disposed of the three other lightweights so that Victoria could have sung this song all by herself! Sadly this was an opportunity missed! I fear a moment of musical history has been surpassed. This song could have been to Vicky what My Way was to Sinatra but unlike Sinatra Victoria hates self publicity and is loved by ALL Americans!

  • @1LUVBECKS ....Lightweights?????????? What rock did you crawl out from under?

  • @1LUVBECKS Victoria Beckham is the lightweight in this company, make no mistake about it!

  • @1LUVBECKS lol

  • Not just the singers but also the musicians.

    Amazing.

Note that Dolly still tours all over the world and promotes literature for young people....... saw her in the UK not so long ago.

My lifetimes ambition is to get the the USA and see Emmylou Harris live just once before I die.

As for Linda Ronstadt,,, she has the voice all the interpreters emulate but nevr get near. The best ever American all-round singer.

  • @Incudius I got to see Emmy Lou, with Ricky Skaggs, in the late 60's. Was a small club in D.C.(The Childe Harolde). Skaggs looked like a surfer boy. Emmy Lou looked (and still does) like a godess.

  • @Bilco1949 only if you're a polytheist. take a look at the young Linda...

  • @mmasny What the fuck are you talking about?

  • Sounds like three angels to me. Brought that uncomfortable lump in my throat, even though its not comfortable we all get it. Thanks to the three angels and Thanks for posting

  • Goose bumps...............god bless your voices

  • These beautiful women have the voices of angels. Thank you for posting.

  • Thank you for making 'it "N I C E"

  • a choir of angels

  • LR doing her best Carnie Wilson impression.

  • @SecsSells I don't know where you came from or what your intelligence level is. But judging from your comment, it can't be real high.

  • bootiful :-)

  • Wow1 A true tower of talent and beauty!

  • love the 3 pt harmony. Emmy Lou is my dream girl. Everything she touches is GOLDEN!

  • My god what a voice Linda has !

  • Linda is famous for her big beauiful voice in all different kind of music.Emmylou for her angelic voice in country music and Dolly for her large breasts.Cheers

  • @Zodist And perhaps the odd several hundred, self written songs by Dolly, also. Cheers.

  • great stuff!

  • Linda's voice is beautiful as she is too.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • 4 legends,,,,Carl Jackson on guitar.

  • the five people..you are hatttterrrs

  • It amazes me how many comments have been made about Ronstadt's size.... what does that have to do with anything? Ronstadt was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in 1997, an autoimmune disease attacking the thyroid, which has contributed to her weight gain over the years... no matter what size.. she is a beautiful woman who has an amazing gift for making music.

  • @matcfamily When one is FAT, one is fat. Fat girls can sing too, look at Chloe Agnew of Celtic Woman. We can enjoy their sweet voice and still comment on their ugly body. A sweet voice does not make a fat woman beautiful.

  • coolsax64........shame on you

  • Sittin here in South Texas with Dolly on one knee and Emmy Lou on the other and opening my eighteenth beer.

  • @coolsax64 asshole

  • @ashfordking Oh that hurt's. Ashole.

  • @coolsax64 you can't have intelligence...your comment belongs in the trash. I'm glad it was removed.

  • @morna45 Blow me!!!

  • This must be what an angel choir sounds like. Nice band too- Carl Jackson, guitar; Larry Franklin, fiddle; Sam Bush, mandolin. Unsure about the bass player.

  • @NashvilleBill Byron House

  • @NashvilleBill

The bass player is Byron House.

  • Wow, three great women , this song is so powerful. I cannot imagine anyone better do they realize what a gift they have together. Thank you Ladies for giving us your talent to listen to. Many thanks

  • das ist so schön danke dafür

  • well stated, and goes without saying, some of the best you'll ever lend an ear to.

  • just sittin' here bawling my eyes out...OMG...my story

  • Great performance! Thanks for share.

  • Just heavenly harmony in a gorgeous song that never fails to deeply move me; I wish the volume level was higher.

  • Pretty close to perfect harmony.

  • heartbeaking

  • these women are so absolutely different but so absolutely complimentary. wonderful.

  • gwgillwilkinson

The person who discovered that these three fantastic voices gel together like this is a GENIUS!.Love both albums Trio 1and Trio 2.

  • Forgot to mention that I'm sitting here on the west coast of Canada listening.

  • Hey, that's Sam Bush playing the mandolin! Sam's the best mando maniac alive! Nice singing, too, gals.

  • Gorgeous Gals...so beautiful..so very beautiful..love Linda so very pretty..

  • i love linda's strong voice. im hoping to get my voice as strong as hers.

  • Sitting here in Sydney, Australia , listening to this.... what great voices.

  • I m sitting here in germany.... and listening too... yes so good this song

  • can you feel the passion! the angels can sing right here on Earth

  • Damn ! How does Dolly do it ! She must have the best plastic surgean in the world.

Pam Anderson better be looking this guy up cause shes starting to look like she could be Dollys mother!

  • I think its amazing to watch these three performers together; each has her own style, image and magnetism. Dolly is such a giving personality and has that delicate voice with a touch of vulnerability and always graciousness; Linda's voice is like the finest of musical instruments and she makes it appear effortless while she thrills us; and Emmy Lou projects a kind of emotional introspectiveness and clarity through her singing. These women have performance chemistry in spades!

  • @writeurselfabook That says it all.

  • @writeurselfabook Poetic! beautifully said!

  • @writeurselfabook Wow well stated!! They really are amazing!

  • @writeurselfabook Dolly`s other assets are also very magnetic!

  • Great clip with beautiful singing, but I wish people would include the dates and locations along with the clips. What show is it from? When was it shown?

  • I agree, Linda has the strongest voice.

  • A joy to hear and see such talent singing together. You shouldn't compare - All three are individuals with their own styles and strengths that blend so well together and they obviously a huge respect for each other as they''ve performed together so frequently over the years. Beautiful.

  • I love this group they have formed and I hope they continue to perform together!

  • Wouldn't compare these 3 to each other. ALL super great!

  • This is the cut found on the "Feels Like Home" album, yes???

    Very nice!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree Dolly is the most famous & has won the most awards. Linda has the most beautiful voice. BUT EMMYLOU is my favorite female singer ( Also my dreamgirl) !!!

  • Beautiful.

    thanks

  • Its true, Doll's voice is quite weak.......

  • Sorry but the best is always Dolly Parton. :-)

  • Ps.... My oppinion, Linda does have the better voice. Much stronger and much more power behind how she sings. I love Dolly but Linda voice is so much better than Emma and Dolly. I realy never got into emma's songs. SHE IS A GREAT SINGER BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO LINDA'S VOICE, THATS FOR SURE.

  • In thier own rights, i feel that Dolly is the most celebrated artist on that stage. tho they had thier own Genre of music, own style, Dolly had reached Legendary status yrs ago. SHE HAS HAD MORE HITS, MORE AWARDS AND HAD MORE CLASS. i wonder how emma and linda felt to be able toshare the stage with Dolly. I bet Dolly never felt like she was btter artist but also felt blessed to sing with gifted artist like Linda and emma. thats being humble and showing respect. Dolly is so wonderful!

  • Dolly is also a prolific song writer, can play many instruments, and has a awesome voice. You are right that she is very humble and gives all the credit to God!

  • @jonwhite20 This is so wrong it's silly. Go and read about Linda Ronstadt. Dolly Parton might have been more famous in popular culture but Ronstadt was the biggest musical success and was the first woman to fill up stadiums in male dominated rock and roll. Ronstadt was on the cover of Time when that mattered. Don't think Dolly ever had that honor. Linda was the biggest selling female artist in music from 1975-1983. How Dolly felt sharing the stage with Linda Ronstadt? Ridiculous.

  • when was this?

  • Amazing the way these three very different voices blend so magically

  • From the three of them Linda is the most allrounder, she sounds real latino when she sings all those mexican's songs.

  • And these three women together is just perfect, superb. Three individual beautiful voices combined created a harmony song that is not surpassable. Other three female singers to compete them, I don't know yet!

  • This is the sound from heart. It is so unforgettable. I bought the cassette from Massachusetts and listened it in Florida. It always reminded me the Orlando, the Sun, the rain, the hot, the cold, the dry, the wet, and the downtown limo...

I remembered that at that time, I looked the sky while listening the song...

  • Incredible harmony!

  • Not only are the voices of these iconic singers beautiful, but the instrumentation is awesome. Larry Franklin and Sam Bush nailed it on this one.

  • I just don't have the words to express what this song means to me.

  • If you have any doubts about Linda's range, you should know that she also sang Soprano in "Pirates of Penzance." She has an incredible range and has a powerhouse voice. Dolly has a good voice, but no one would call her a "belter."

  • Exactly! I've never seen Dolly reach a High C, Linda can though!

  • And not to mention Mimi in La Boheme

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! I love it... Linda's got one hell of a voice, damn! They are such wonderful women.

  • Tremendous talent

  • Dolly's got the highest part. anyone who's even remotely familiar with her can pick her voice out. all three of these ladies can bring it- and this is a hard-rock-playing guitarist saying that.
