hello some people that watch this may own black sabbath dio years , do you have trouble with the cd ? the cd does not seem to support all cd players for some reason , when i play it on my xbox it does not sound right , anyone with the same problem or anyone who knows the the f#$% it is ?
i would have liked to have heard aic(first incarnation) cover this. staley's voice would have sounded amazing on this song........not saying better than dio in any way......just a different and unique interpretation of the song........
@fierrote Do they even consider Metallica metal anymore? I don't mean it as an insult I just figured they evolved away from metal over the years and are more of a hard rock band now. The songs they have on the radio certainly aren't metal and anyone out there that thinks otherwise needs to go back to metal 101. And Sabbath=influence while Metallica=product of influence, simple as that. Nothing Metallica fans should be ashamed of. I mean the influence thing, the radio shit is another story.
PLEASE DO NOT READ DONT READ THIS PLEASE DO NOT READ DO NOT READ DO NOT READ swear do not read...I don't even know why I'm participating I guess I'm still a bit paranoid. But really do not read this I swear . Also thanks this was really appreciated. DO NOT READ:This is so stupid... But i love my mom deeply... And i don't want to take any chances. Sorry. If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hour
This song has really grown on me. I can't stop screaming to it in my car. If I had it on vinyl, the grooves would be white from running the needle across it so many times.
My previous greatest Sabbath song was "Sign of the Southern Cross." It still is. But "Shadow of the Wind" ties it for the best.
I feel exactly the same way....This song has some deep hidden meanings....I know what they claim it was written about...But it sounds like it was written about Ozzy...Who was always the victim in his portrayals....."Never more the victim cries!...As i slip beneath the skin" Ozzy made many promises he never intended to keep..."Im alive...I belong..I'll be back! "
.Half truths, and still whole lies.....You remember me...I can make you disappear...Be where you want to be..as long as its not here.
@quornholio Ozzy is no way near as talented as Ronnie in singing and writing lyrics. The only reason why Ozzy sounds somewhat good on albums is vocal effects. They really can do wonders. Ronnie has natural vocal talent. R.I.P. RJD!
@yamila2068 Ozzy is great; he just ain't Dio. I am also way taken about by the way that limey yenta Sharon pulls his strings and has the nerve to sue Tony Iommi for the rights to ALL albums put out by Sabbath. That means she wants Ozzy to profit from Sabbath albums on which her husband didn't even perform. That's pure disrespect.
I still jam out to "No More Tears," though. Killer song.
there probably isnt i know the vancouver show deffinetly was filmed from different angles it hink theres a 3 cam mix out there somewhere or a multicam

Probably the best Sabbath ever did, this one. Yes, that even includes Volume 4, which I have worshipped since I was 14 in '77.

It's all good, i'm getting to see him in concert on December 9. It's going to be sweet. It'll be the first time I see him sing and I can't wait.
I've seen Megadeth, Metallica, Judas Priest and Testament, but I hope Ronnie will top them all :)

@C0mm0nS3ns3, why do metallica lovers always have to bring that band into the conversation when this video has nothing to do with them?
metallica lovers should abstain from commenting if it has nothing to do with Sabbath the greatest and most influential metal band ever.
Black Sabbath...Masters and Godfathers of Heavy Metal.

Does anyone here think Ozzy would have the chops at 65 y.o. to ever write a searing work of poetry like this?
The question answers itself.
quornholio 2 years ago 6
@quornholio,
Yes. Ozzy has the chops and the talent as well. Ronnie and Ozzy have different styles, but both are (in Ronnie's case, "was") masters of their craft.
I prefer Sabbath's Ozzy era, but Ronnie time with Sabbath was also very good.
