His footwork is insane... he starts running gets close to the ball and makes small adjustments so he kind of stops before he takes his last step out then he takes his last step out and bends so damn low which is really insane..
topspin is a concept really. you can teach the individual the formula (fundamentals) but it is virtually up to them to understand the feel of how the formula is applied. it can take days; weeks; months. the feeling can come abruptly. only time will tell for each individually.
he uses his wrists well. juniors are encouraged to learn how to use their wrists before the age of 12 as it will help them develop topspin properly. after that it becomes more difficult for players to get the timing as natural as many of the pros do.
well, i started tennis at 14, and i have developed topspin fairly fast. Just do wrist exercises everyday, and workout to prevent injury, i am almost a year into tennis and have played the sport everyday since then 2 hours to contribute to the 10,000 hours needed to play at one's full potential. So dont say u need to learn before 12 because juniors at those ages dont understand fully why they would use a certain grip, or naturally do certain things. Just my point of view
lol no I was just saying that there is no way that is a fact because a fact can't be something that hasn't been proven yet. Unless you've taken a page out of H.G. Wells and invented a time machine you can't call something a fact just because no one else has done it. I can't say "Barack Obama won't be a good president, it's a fact" basing that statement only off the reasoning that our last president wasn't very good.
i agree that federe won't win any big tournament anymore but i don't think that his child is the only reason right now^^
i mean of course he concentrates a lot on his family but tennis is still the most important thing in his life i'll tell u why he won't be able to come back^^
just cuz nadal is now good enought to hammer fed. on grass and on the hard court as well^^
he always did on ashes so nadal is the reason why fed. won't win anymore ;)
hmm. i might try that

Nadal is a righty, only uses his left hand to play tennis. so, his backhand is sorta like his second forehand
leotom1990 2 years ago
