  • Hi Friend! Very nice song, that's cool and psychedelic, but i think needs a good compresion. I produce too, but i use Cubase, if you want visit my channel and listen to my tracks.

    Greetings.

  • I've never heard of ableton. FL in my opinion sucks, Acid Pro is Great, Audicty IS A PAIN. I've only heard some things about ableton 2 years ago. Can you get it free anywhere? If not, how much would it cost? I've been using Acid 4.0. The only acid I've ever used. Awesome song!

  • i have never tried sony acid. Have you tried fruit loops? I am just curious what would be the difference?

  • @tranceceiver I only used Sony a couple times long time ago before I switched to Ableton Live. Yes I have tried FL but I decided to mainly use Ableton. From what I hear from others FL is a good program, and certainly both FL and Ableton are much more advanced than Sony's program. Check out my latest upload called "Selector". I used Ableton to create the entire project.

  • fl studio sounds messy to me....

  • hi souvla, I just started to use acid pro 7 and I wanted to know if ableton was any harder to use then that. Acid pro is ridiculously sensical and so its the only program that I've managed get anywhere with. Should I continue with vegas and if so, is there an ultimate online guide sort of thing that you would recommend?

props on the song. methinks it has a progressive feel to it.

  • When I started flirting with Ableton Live, I found it had a much harder learning curve compared to Acid Pro for example, but having said that, Ableton Live is much more capable of advanced mixing & production and makes Sony's software look weak in comparison, in my opinion. As for a guide, I never did go through one for Acid Pro, but obviously for Ableton, several hours in tutorials and practice were an absolute requriement before I could even accomplish the basics with that software.

  • i just started ableton yesterday :|

  • Good Lord Deme, cheer up. What have you been doing that's so much more important than making music? I think this is pretty good.

  • LOL I'm just kidding. I know the person who did this and thought i'd give em a hard time

  • ya I'm wishing now I didn't know you

  • Okay Deme. Be nice :D

Bye-the-way Souvla, what do you think about Sony Acid in retrospect? I'm planning to record some music on my desktop - a soundtrack for a machinima. I'm thinking about midi sequencing as opposed to layering loops ... but don't have much experience with either. It looks like you have moved on to Ableton. Any thoughts?

  • Sony Acid is old news for me. Still learning but after trying a few, and purchasing a nice midi keyboard, I have made the final switch to Ableton Live. If you are a musician, and have some time to go through turorial videos and documents to learn the program, I find Ableton is a VERY powerful application, and with the right VST plugins, there are no limits. I will be posting more Ableton vids, once my new webcam arrives.

  • Hi Souvla, I'm looking over Ableton. It does look good. I'm going to subscribe to your site so I can stay posted on what you come up with. Thanks again for the thoughts and feedback.

  • no problem!

  • pretty decent job..

some of it was a bit off.. or felt like it was too much of too many different things...

    but good work overall.

  • Thanks for the comments. I pretty much popped my cherry with this one. Had no idea what an audio sequencer was a few months ago. Now, I have switched to Ableton Live 7 + FL Studio and bought myself a decent MIDI keyboard. Stay tuned for future projects!
