But you look very convincing and your voice - like many American Transwomen, sounds very good. Heck yes stand up for yourself! That guy was way out of line! If you don't, then he thinks it's okay to do that again, perhaps to someone who isn't as strong in their identity as you are. Besides, this is your life, it's your experience, and NO ONE deserves to cheapen it for you.

I think you did the right thing Jenna. No matter what his motivations were, I think people need to start moving away from using "sir" and "ma'am" so much. The same sort of thing happened to my sister (who's gg) a while back and it really hurt her feelings.
I've got the same problem: Friends tell me I look good,I feel like I look good and I'm mostly not recognized when I'm in puplic. But the rare times people calling me "he" always ruin the day it happens and my self-esteem on a long run.

That security guard sounded like a dickhead... he must have been blind 2 think you were a man. Your boyfriend should have punched him in the mouth, that would have been funny lol.
