Lets be honest, these guys are doing this much better than the remaining Doors were doing after their reunion. Should I choose between the original old Doors guys and this band I would choose these guys definitely. Simply because they do it better. I do not want to listen Ray to play a new keyboard machine just for a reason to be in. I want to listen the Doors music as it was before.

@ddraguti I've seen Manzarek-Krieger (as doors of the 21st century) twice and it was pathetic to be honest.. as a hugeeee Doors fan, they should not have performed a single song after the death of Morrison.. it was basically The Manzarek Show when i went there.. he was acting cool, cursing John Densmore for not taking part of the sad little reunion they have going on, and ruining every song with overplayed time consumingly ugly keyboard solo's.. Wish i could see these guys

This is excellent. Nobodys doors cover comes close to the quality of this. This guy looks alot like Jim. I would go see these guys play live in a heartbeat. The rest of the doors should pick up this singer and go on tour. His voice is identical.

Singer doesn't give Jim's big voice-cracking scream at end of "Changeling" first verse, shies away from it (as Jim did mostly live, drunk etc.)...Guitarist needs a real SG and power-fuzz, drummer lacks Densmore's tribal pounding, organist so-so...YET I'd have dug it to have seen Wild Child...

Yeah, David Brock is the best Morrison impersonator around. He sounds just like Jim, and he resembles Jim more than any other impersonator. I remember going to a Wild Child show back in 1988. Brock is still going strong.

Who ever they get to sing, they'll always be compared to Jim and in reality they are replacing him. So why not go with the best thats available, if he's available.  I guess and this is only me, if I were to go see ROTS, I want it to be as close to the original as possible. And I did see them in 1970. Thanks for you comments.

ray and robby know him very well. morrison's sister, anne morrison graham, hand-picked him in the early eighties to portray morrison in a series of stage plays which never took off, but he pursued the interest. ray, robby and the late danny sugarman consider Wild Child the best Doors tribute band, period.

my guess: ray and robby don't want a replacement for morrison. hiring a vocalist so specifically similar to morrison isn't their plan, which is why they've employed professionals with authentic and proven-successful styles who can't necessarily be compared to morrison. (this isn't to say brock isn't the greatest -- just that he's very much deliberately patterned himself after morrison.) ultimately, of course, i really don't know.
