@Lzztopz Really?! Who would have known computer become more advanced over 3 years time! haha Sorry, I could not help myself. But yea, newer students will get newer computers with better specs. This video is really out of date, and is no longer relevant.
the computer i got is totally different it has windows 7 and nothing is restricted but they say that i cant use it for any other thing only school, i wonder if they like see what your on
@MrBoomnator@Lzztopz is right, they can't see what you are viewing. However, I am very doubtful that nothing is restricted (unless you have pushed this to the limits) because last I heard it was a Gov. requirement for schools to place blocking software on student computers. I know Insight MN's computers still have blocking software on student computers. The computer you have is different form the one in the video because of the videos age, sorry about that.
@ultimatedbzgtdbfan Uhhh I wish I could answer that (I would think that you would get all of that online and just go to live classes to get your hw/tests), but I haven't even started school yet...thats why I'm asking this kid. Sorry. Good Luck! :S xxx
@xxlightningzxx you go to online classes as kind of a time to learn form the teacher and get a summary of the lesson for that week. Assignments are found in the Learning Management System.
@ultimatedbzgtdbfan Assignments are given either in a multiple choice format, essay format, short essay format, or written format. They are then graded by the computer or submitted through the dropbox for your instructor to grade. Sometimes half and half.
@macluke170 how much time do you put into your classes each day and how many do you take? I'm thinking of switching to insight for my sophomore year possibly.
Macluke, do you know if some one can game on this computer? Do they monitor any video games you play on it? It would be could to get same gaming on every now and then on a laptop. I'm paying for my own internet so will I be punished for playing online games? Thanks in advance.
@StateofIMBA Insight has a program on their computers called ContentWatch but from what i can tell it does not monitor. ContentWatch just stops you from going to "bad" sites and pages. I don't think anything is reported. It just seems to be blocking software. They definitely won't punish you for playing online games. So many students use their laptops for more then school that just about everyone would have to be punished.
Oh cool, that's good news. I have another question though. Is there a required amount of work to do? If there is, where can I check. Like how many units am I suppose to complete each month? I don't know how many so I'm doing random amounts because I'm so confused.
@StateofIMBA Yes there are due dates. It's usually one thing from a unit due each day. To find due dates you can go to the calendar in each class or get a thing that highlights in red what is due in each class. To find the the color coded thing go to one of your classes>that side bar on the left side called the map>under lessons> under course documentation> then click course schedule. In the future you should really contact one of your teachers or tech support with a problem as big as this one.
@chuchi100293 no one monitors they websites you visit. The software is just to stop you from going to the "bad" site in the first place. Your the one that keeps you from cheating. If you want to cheat nothing is really going to stop you besides guilt and less of an education.
why would you want to have a review of it?? its for educational purposes but yeah in colorado they dont block anything or at least they havent blocked anything for me
damn you got screwed over, the one i got has a dual core a 2.3 ghz dual core proccesor 3 gbs of ram and a 512 mb ati 4250 radeon graphics card

Do you have to return it by the end of the school year?
(I don't want to keep sending it back each year, that would be pointless haha)
Can you keep it until you graduate from Insight?
Thanks xxx (:
