@mesopystic Cut the bullshit. Stop being pretentious pricks: Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie, as is The Wrestler. You can't compare them, it's like comparing butter to cheese, neither one is better, you just happen to like one more than the other. So what? It's a matter of taste. But you can't deny the cinematic value of SM just because you preferred TW, otherwise you're a fool. @VitoCorleonePadrino My brother...Slumdog Millionaire was quite a shitty movie. What cinematic value are you talking about? Is it the cinematic value of bad acting? Is it the cinematic value of Indian characters speaking in English even when living in the trenches (2nd half)? I am from India and besides the kids, the protagonist and everyone around him (his brother, the chick) just seems unreal in the 2nd half (except the host and the cop). And plus, they acted badly. I was blown by the 1st half

@mesopystic Did I say the acting was great? My brother, movies are made of several other things. Cinematography, direction, soundtrack, film editing, sound design, writing, not to mention historic value. Slumdog Millionaire isn't an incredible movie, certainly is not a favorite of mine's but it happens to be a nicely crafted piece of filmaking directly connected with our historic period . It's a movie about hope, optimism, something we need in these days. That's why it has cinematic value.
