I personally have experienced this 2 years ago when i was in hospital for 5 weeks with a severe peritonitis and pneumonia and although i seriously regret i didn't contemplate my life as much as i should have done in that situation i did come to realise some things about life that you can only realise through nearly dying. I still think about my experience every week.

This song makes sense to me because I'm a rare case. I've been in three different car crashes, only one was so bad I needed to go to the hospital however. People say I was near death, but I came through. Maybe that's why I dreamed I was climbing up a large hill until I reached it, a bright light surrounded me and told me I still had things to do, then I woke up. c:

This song came out a couple months after my car accident. This was the only album I listened to for months, as weird as that sounds. He gave me a new outlook on the wreck. "The curtains decayed, the daylight poured in I was never afraid of the darkness again. My burns were 3rd degree but I'd been set free 'cuz GRACE had finally found it's way to me". It's true. And of course "In the back of the ambulance I'd never felt so content." He is the best song writer I've ever heard. Thank you

This song makes sense to me because I'm a rare case. I've been in three different car crashes, only one was so bad I needed to go to the hospital however. People say I was near death, but I came through. Maybe that's why I dreamed I was climbing up a large hill until I reached it, a bright light surrounded me and told me I still had things to do, then I woke up. c:
