It's not hard to see how the BMW won. Take into consideration the curb weights as well. I don't know much about the tranny in the Mercedes, but a Dual Clutch tranny in the BMW is going to help as well. Tune the Merc a bit with new exhaust, intake, etc. Race again =D

If you want to have a fair race to compare the two cars the. Why use an M3 that has been altered and tuned? I don't see what you're proving with this video other than a modded car will beat a stock one. If both cars were M3's in this video the modded one would win as well, so you proved nothing. @stefkobs u sound dumb..... if u actually would have had both of these, you would know that the gearbox on the amg is complete garbage, and waits 1/2 a second to shift, therefore you need to predict the time at which u will be at the right amount of revs, and usually you will get it wrong. In a real world scenario (i.e. a freeway race), the m3 will be gone and off the freeway before the merc can get its revs right. I test drove both these cars last week and chose the m3 bcause it is better.

The M3 just got a better start and has a faster gearbox. It was at the perfect revs in the perfect gear at the start of the race, so it got a far better jump. From there all it had to do was maintain the lead, which it did with lightning shift times.
the m3 is simply the best not only in its category but from higher too!!! the m3 has a 4L engine producing 420bhp the rs4 a 4.2L producing also 420 and the mercedes amg has a 6.2L engine producing only 460 hp.... so i think if you compare the numbers and also not forget the wieght to powerratio youll see that BMW is simply THE BEST!!

I am sick of everybody saying this or that is better. The FACT is BOTH cars are unreal in all areas. I am a Mercedes guy and I would opt for the C63, BUT I have immense respect for BMW and the M3. You cannot go wrong with either car to be quite frank.
STILL beats it. The BMW M3 is (about) 10 seconds faster per lap on the Nordschleife than the C 63 AMG. Just because a car is faster in a straight line, doesn't automatically mean it won't win on track. Not to mention Mercedes-Benzes are SHIT sports cars.
All they impress me in is how comfortable, luxurious, reliable, and spacious they are. The only real Mercedes-Benz sports car that I would consider great is the SLS.
This debate is epic! Very very few of the experts posting here could drive either car any where near the edge of the performance envelope. A "skilled driver" should be quicker around "most" tracks in the M3 over the C63. The difference is irrelevent with ordinary joe at the wheel. Most of the cars that are tracked have substantial performance upgrades making them quicker than a "stock" example of the rival. Mine has nearly 600hp, coilovers, diff cooler and Toyo R888's on superlight wheels.
@RedC63AMG yes mate at last someone that speaks sense! the only people that could get the best out of these cars are track drivers.at the end of the day these are road cars and cannot be driven flat out on normal roads.they are both very good cars .i have a stock m5 with 507 bhp and as you know if you drive these cars on normal roads flat out you will kill yourself very quick..even on the motorway you only have a few seconds before you are way over the limit.

@06saleen3v most of those videos ar eof a manual E92 vs paddle shift C63. Here it's a DCT E92 so maybe that helped, but I do agree it should at least be close with the 63 maybe being slightly ahead.

guys apart from many things , an automatic tends to become weak on corners coz it doesnt normally down shift to a lower gear out of a corner , n too much torque , the car tends to loose grip unnecessarily thats is merc ,it is alwys goin to loose if it doesnt correct this .
you are doing it wrong. in symply power the C63 beats the M3, and in 0-200 the C63 beats the BMW. But on the race track the BMW is slightly better due to sligltly better handling and a lower weight.
BMW is better than Mercedes is every single aspect. C63 AMG has a 6.2L V8 making 457 hp compared to the e92's 4.0L V8 420 hp ... Mercedes always throws in either turbo chargers, kompressors, super chargers, or just high liters in order to get out some potential out of their engines.

Meanwhile I have left dozens of BMW's behind and the videos on my page prove it. The 11.5 sec 1/4 mile video shows that the car is not just fast on paper as you stated. Eventually I will end up giving a point to a BMW driver who is lapping faster than I am but it hasn't happened to this "shitty track car" yet.

true, the stock M3 wouldn't beat the merc, althoug i think that it would be very close with the DKG. The DKG means in german DoppelKupplungsGetriebe, which simply means DoubleClutchGearbox. Its the new generation of automatic gearboxes. it allows a linear acceleration without pauses of changing gears. the first DKG for serial production was used in the Golf V GTI. love it!

Really most reviews from Magazines and Videos state that the M3 is most fun car to drive out of the C63 and ISF. AMG cars have rocket performance but are behind in the handling department. M3 is a lighter car with a more responsive engine and DCT shift speeds

STILL beats it. The BMW M3 is (about) 10 seconds faster per lap on the Nordschleife than the C 63 AMG. Just because a car is faster in a straight line, doesn't automatically mean it won't win on track. Not to mention Mercedes-Benzes are SHIT sports cars.
All they impress me in is how comfortable, luxurious, reliable, and spacious they are. The only real Mercedes-Benz sports car that I would consider great is the SLS.

This debate is epic! Very very few of the experts posting here could drive either car any where near the edge of the performance envelope. A "skilled driver" should be quicker around "most" tracks in the M3 over the C63. The difference is irrelevent with ordinary joe at the wheel. Most of the cars that are tracked have substantial performance upgrades making them quicker than a "stock" example of the rival. Mine has nearly 600hp, coilovers, diff cooler and Toyo R888's on superlight wheels.

@RedC63AMG yes mate at last someone that speaks sense! the only people that could get the best out of these cars are track drivers.at the end of the day these are road cars and cannot be driven flat out on normal roads.they are both very good cars .i have a stock m5 with 507 bhp and as you know if you drive these cars on normal roads flat out you will kill yourself very quick..even on the motorway you only have a few seconds before you are way over the limit.

@06saleen3v most of those videos ar eof a manual E92 vs paddle shift C63. Here it's a DCT E92 so maybe that helped, but I do agree it should at least be close with the 63 maybe being slightly ahead.

guys apart from many things , an automatic tends to become weak on corners coz it doesnt normally down shift to a lower gear out of a corner , n too much torque , the car tends to loose grip unnecessarily thats is merc ,it is alwys goin to loose if it doesnt correct this .

you are doing it wrong. in symply power the C63 beats the M3, and in 0-200 the C63 beats the BMW. But on the race track the BMW is slightly better due to sligltly better handling and a lower weight.

BMW is better than Mercedes is every single aspect. C63 AMG has a 6.2L V8 making 457 hp compared to the e92's 4.0L V8 420 hp ... Mercedes always throws in either turbo chargers, kompressors, super chargers, or just high liters in order to get out some potential out of their engines.

@SupercarVideos Great another self proclaimed expert. In 16 track sessions I have been passed once by a friend of mine in a Superleggera. Meanwhile I have left dozens of BMW's behind and the videos on my page prove it. The 11.5 sec 1/4 mile video shows that the car is not just fast on paper as you stated. Eventually I will end up giving a point to a BMW driver who is lapping faster than I am but it hasn't happened to this "shitty track car" yet.

true, the stock M3 wouldn't beat the merc, althoug i think that it would be very close with the DKG. The DKG means in german DoppelKupplungsGetriebe, which simply means DoubleClutchGearbox. Its the new generation of automatic gearboxes. it allows a linear acceleration without pauses of changing gears. the first DKG for serial production was used in the Golf V GTI. love it!

Really most reviews from Magazines and Videos state that the M3 is most fun car to drive out of the C63 and ISF. AMG cars have rocket performance but are behind in the handling department. M3 is a lighter car with a more responsive engine and DCT shift speeds

M3 is @ +-5500-6000rpm in first/second? the mercedes is prob. a gear higher.
Put the M3 is the same gear or both in second/ third gear or both in their powerrange or whatever.
Then Mercedes vs M3 ciao M3...
There's also a vid gt3 997 vs m6...m6 is in a lower gear then the gt3 and wins. Wow!
Again put them in the same gear and the gt3 stays a little in front of the m6.
Most of the vids are 'faked' like that.
But who cares fun is not in a straight line!
