yes i do think its tru jyothikas eyes do look insane!!however how can u compare her with shobana,shobana had great choreography,dancing style,passion and some of the steps shobana did are jus wow,it really makes you feel into the song...jyothika had better make up however 'chadramukhi' was created in the 2000's or so but manichitrathazhu was in the 90's,probably didnt have much facilities etc..all the ppl (vidya etc...) did amazingly well! but shobana was jus too amazing:)

All are OK, but nobody can deliver expressions as Jyothica does, she's awesome. Her eyes express the insanity that's required for this very role. Her face is 'bespoke' for such roles, ranging from an innocent girl to a complicated babe!. That's my take. Usually, im not into this movie shit, however, I do like some.

shiit man, I almost had a heart attack when I saw the look of this actress at the beginning.....I nearly had a heart attack.....this is very scary dude......I am from north India and have watched all the versions of this movie, Tamil, Malyalam and of course Hindi one as well. Dont know if there is a Telugu one. All of them are super rockiing.

But in this one especially during dance Jyothika is looking far more scary than anyone else. After that Vidya looks scary and then Shobana but all superb

I disagree. Jyothika is in character. Ganga, her character, doesn't know how to dance and just because Ganga *thinks* she's Chandramukhi doesn't mean she suddenly becomes a wonderful dancer.

I think Jyothika pulled off the dance quite nicely, giving it a sloppy/messy feel because that's how Ganga would do it.

The original "Manichithrathazhu" was far more superior when compared to the remakes - Chandramukhi in particular - be it in terms of acting or artistic values. After watching Shobhana, it is hard to watch Jyothika jumping up and down.

Mohanlal was more restrained and gentle in his portrayal of the psychiatrist. Maybe a similar style would've disappointed Rajni fans, and hence they came up with "Lakalakalaka.." and all that crap.

I don't say Jyothika is a bad actress, but based on this particular scene, comparing Jyothika and Shobhana is the most rubbish thing. According to the story line, Chandramukhi is a classical dancer and her reincarnation was supposed to be moving in that way. Here, Jyothika is not dancing but just jumping...
