Ohio St. doesn't do well against SEC teams in bowls because the SEC teams are practically playing home games in their bowl games while Ohio St. is playing their 1st game in a month and a half in SEC territory. Ohio St. does fine vs. SEC in regular season game because they are not rusty from long layoff. Big 12 is no SEC
