That's no gossip about the company that wrote songs for a fee (there are multiple companies like this) --- this was a poem the guy sent to such a place, and this is the song he got back. There is a documentary about these kinds of songs -- Caglar Juan Singletary who links here, too, was another person featured in that documentary.... and the guy who wrote "Jimmy Carter" was interviewed in that film. Can't remember the title, but it was about "song poems". Good documentary!

It's actually an autoharp. We had one of these in grade school. Uber-easy to play... push the button for what chord/key you want and strum away. The buttons mute the strings that don't match up to the chord you want, allowing the rest to resonate. Wikipedia has a good pic. A zither has frets (like a guitar) and no chord buttons.
