No, I didn't even know that Robert wan down in NYC filming. I was heading to a nearby movie theater near the NYU campus, because my best friend goes there, when she pops up and says "Oh, Robert is filming today, wanna see." I was like super excited and gosh I even felt nervous (I don't know why, lol). I didn't have a camara with me since I was glueless about the event :(. I wished I had cuz I would have taken so many picz and recorded him without thinking twice. Sorry :(!

maybe the script was just written as his character smoking. it's probably not cigarette companies paying anyone or the movie industry being jerks, if the script was written with the character as a smoker he should be one in the film. tolerance is a two way street.

You may be right, but there are few scripts in which cigarettes are a necessary plot device. More often the director is shown a Ferrari parked by the curb...he gets the keys if his lead actor smokes.

I can understand where you're coming from but I doubt that people would smoke because he's doing it.

When I was a teen, the big hot guy was Leo DiCaprio who smokes in nearly every film he's ever done & I'm not a smoker. I'm not stupid and don't want to put my health at risk.

If Rob's fans are taught about the dangers of smoking, they'll make their own decision, just as he has. Plus, the character he plays is in emotional torment & not a great guy - not a good role model to begin with.
