This clip looks a little like a Radiohead video (for one of the "Amnesiac" songs, for instance).

You can see that from the start the wooden plate covers and give the dog a shelter. Each time that something is wrong the dog preses the button to be saved. However, each time the dog is the one that gives that start push. In the last part when the sink in the sand the dog is the one that save the plate and at some point he can fly by himself. The plate was very happy realizing it did the best job it could and that now the dog is capable to get over is problems and can handle things by himself.

Last Valentine's day I gave this song to a girl I´m in love with. She had no idea of any of this and she never told me anything about the song either. Could be about a break up or losing someone you loved. And by the way if the thing with that girl don't work out just let it go and move on. It really is a "sad happy" song. I think it's saying you have to live through all the parts of your life, not just the easy parts. I think the dog is supposed to be an example of someone who just skates through, taking the easy path through life, and as such, is indifferent to the world, no matter where he is.

As much as I'm loving the new Accelerate album, I still think REM should have deserved more credit for their past 3 albums. Sure they weren't the REM we grew to love, but they managed to put out great songs, including this one. I'll take REVEAL, UP, and Around the Sun any day over the junk that's being played on the radio.

I think the song that has to do with River (not Rain) Phoenix is E-Bow, the Letter, in the album New Adventures in Hi-Fi. It's a song to his memory, as well as Let me In is a song in memory of Kurt Cobain, both good friends of Michael. I wonder now that since Heath Ledger has also passed away 'cause of drugs, and he was also a good friend of his, he will write a nother song in his memory. Poor Michael, he's running out of friends!!
