funny thing - I haven't heard any of those sounds myself :( back in 2000 and before it was "olololo circles in the crops that is the end of the line my friends go put you anti-alien hats on and hide under the tables" now in 2012 it's "olololo weird sounds from under the ground that is the end my brothers and sisters" etc. I mean, medias and non-government-related individuals were feeding us with this for the good last half of century. @Jelboo. I have listened to quite a few of these mystery sounds and they are being heard in many parts of the world, Costa Rica being the latest victim. Sientists have been unable to find a logical explaination, and some authorities have said they are firework noises which is stupid. One explanaition is they could be warning sounds from heaven relating to the 'End-Times' The Bible actually speaks of it from Revelation chapters 8-11. It may be the start of the 7 year 'Great Tribulation Period'

Now, just because there's been weird sounds heard around the world, doesn't mean all of them are "mysterious". Some idiot housed the light improperly and or the lap pole is not grounded properly.

So like the electricity will jump out on cold wet nights and shakes the metal and reverberates the pole and what you hear is the conductive vibration made by the short circuit.
