Were you so cold after getting wet? Have you ever seen surfers in Iceland? We visited in 07, but only for a couple of days. We'd like to come back and cruise all over, and camp out. Is it hard to find campfire wood? We'd definitely need a fire after surfing that COLD water! Can we rent good 4wds?

You can definitely surf in Iceland, just wear a thick wetsuit and your good..I wouldn't recommend having a campfire though, it's too windy and cold :D Just go back to the car, heat it up and head to town ;) No problem in renting 4wds there are plenty of rentals around..

Do you surf? I teach surf for a living. I have a couple of friends coming next month for a short visit. We'll all be back for a surf trip. Interested in joining? Are there any surf shops in Reykjavik? We'd like to camp, hotels are so expensive. Wouldn't we freeze? Man! we could surf 20 hours of the day! Sweet!!!

So what's the economy like? Is everything more expensive, less expensive, or the same as it was before the economic cave in?

Everything is half the price at the moment if you have foreign currency, but the prices are rising...situation is pretty bad for us, but tourists are getting a great deal here..at least for some time

How bad did the water mess up your Can-Am? I have a the same one and I have barried it in water like that. I still Don't know if there was any damage

It still works as if it was new, this was freshwater so it didnt do so much damage..

We had to dry the spark plugs as we had no extras and they were wet :D
