ET, Flight of navigator, Garbage Pail Kids - Original, ghostbusters, goonies & many others im pleased to have my kids growing on all exactly as i did hehe Along with also all ep's fraggle rock, smurfs, superted, dogtanian, jimbo, bananaman, supergran, dennis (original yellow haired), snoopy, flintstones, POB, muppet babies, raggy dolls, rosie & jim & just tons more. Kids today days are missing out as we had it amazing as kids, atleast ive been able to share some of that magic with my kids.

1 reason, They were the best movies EVER!... Ive got as many old movies i grew up on in the 80s & 90s that my kids i have now just love so much & are watched by them far more than any of the modern tv & movies available for them.. They love all my old fav movies with the same passion i did back then but they also watch constantly tons of my old fav tv shows like fraggle rock etc. Just shows how good they were as the crap of today wont be loved in a year let alone still in 15+! WE HAD IT GREAT!!

Question, did kids outside of Cali understand that the reason that Bill and Ted were so dopey was because they lived in the middle of the desert where every kid smoked dope and hung out in front of convenience stores...and not because they were surfers? I remember wondering that when all I knew was Cali lol.

Nowadays they would just have shown the principles smoking dope. I miss the days of movies only hinting...making us feel as though we were in on a secret.

The 80s did have some good movies, it was fun being a teenager during early 80s. The movies didn't take themselves seriously and were fun. From the 70s, you may enjoy " The Bad News Bears Breaking Training, Blazzing Saddles, or Monty Python's Holy Grail.

@KaydeyRai I really liked movies from the 80s because they didn't take themselves seriously. However, the best movies came from the 70s, there is a good reason why over 100 remakes are from the 70s. None of these movies will have the impact on their immediate audiences as The Exorcist, JAWS, and STAR WARS did.

How many remakes of 80s movies have been made? However, when it comes to movies of teen comedies, you can't beat the 80s, they were light hearted and fun.

Did you purposely show The Last Starfighter at that point? Either way, excellent list thus far. I love the fact that not only did I love these movies as a kid, but they all terrified me on the first view. Kids movies today are too sugarcoated to do that.
