Why do YOU use Twitter?

I have faild to see the point of Twitter as well.

Just like that guys said why would I want to go around reading what people do every minute of their lives or why would someone would read about what I do?

i dont use it cuz its pointless. Once u start to like it and you cant stop, you end up screwing ur life up because of twitter. I dont get why you are dissing twitter while you have it. explain?

I use it because it is a good way to quickly promote something. I'm looking at it from more of a business stand point than a personal one. If you like a product and want to receive quick updates about it then Twitter is perfect. It's much better than RSS email updates.

I'm with you on that one. I tried so hard to stay away from twitter but as I saw others business promotions and events, I thought what am I thinking I need to get in.

Twitter is for many reasons just as any other device across cyber space need it be business, personal, fun, or a learning experience then it's something great.

I use Myspace because its like an online phone.

Except, you can talk to multiple people at once, and the messages can last months. You don't really have to come up with a reply right away, you can think about what you are going to say, before you say it.

I use twitter because I have followers,

and if you ever have followers, for anything,

you gotta entertain them.

idk i was on twitter when it came out, but it was just me and some friends, i didint really like it, i dont even know why its popular, i guess everyone feels that posting thigs up people actually see it...

I don't use it. And probably never will, unless I were massively famous and people actually gave a shit if I were picking my nose. Crazy what people will read if you're famous.

At least Facebook and MySpace are good for social networking. You can find people and contact them even easier than sending a text (especially with an iPhone). But Twitter? You can tell them every minute detail of your existence. Who cares?

I use it to keep up with the latest KalebNation (AKA The Twilight Guy) news.

He does alot of Twilihgt Contest that are really cool and he has his own book coming out in a couple of months that I might read. I also keep up with NoMoreMarbles, HisGoldenEyes, Justin Somper, and Rick Riordan. That is what I use Twitter for.

I think it is a safer thing to use because there aren't alot of child molesters on their so I'm happy my parnets r happy and its fun

No place on the internet is 100% safe. I think partially one of the reasons why it may seem like there aren't is because no one would think that kids are using it. The minute that a kid broadcasts a message about where they are going to be, they may be putting themselves in danger.

Twitter is its own company. It's like Facebook's status update. Imagine an entire website dedicated to that.

I often am harassed by friends on Facebook if I don't have a status update listed. I usually either put jokes or links to my YouTube videos.

well I use Twitter mainly because it's a good way just to say "Hey my new video is up" or "I'm gonna go play Xbox, anyone wanna join?". And also for friends and fans to find out what I'm doing very fast.

I dont see the point of twitter because its a texting service that broadcasts your message all over the world. Why do I want to know what a person is doing at the moment? How a bout you be there with the person.
