SA does indeed have beautiful places but also has large areas of poverty not seen in the USA for decades, and true slavery is still practiced there as well, overall not close to our standards, and going downhill.

SA does indeed have beautiful places but also has large areas of poverty not seen in the USA for decades, and true slavery is still practiced there as well, overall not close to our standards, and going downhill.

The bitter truth is most of Africa at any given time is troubled and dangerous to anyone and everyone. But pointing to the Ivory Coast (its old name) with around 50% unemployment, most of the people that do have jobs work in the AG sector, and under/uneducated populace would be somewhat of a miss on that. so each community has its own set goals, we tend to lean towards EDUCATION as the ultimate aspiration and to this end obtaining qualifications is a top priority within most african communities, west indians, males in particular tend to lean towards manuel physical employment rather than intellectual attainment, its funny cos in the states they are so different, they take education very seriously indeed, and have a lot more in common with immigrant african and asian communities, not over here

African cultures often have cultural initiations and strict criteria for what qualifies as a "man", and are unforgiving of those who fail to measure up.
