@halogamerable I don't know i have never use 3ds max but there is lot of tutorials for blender on the web and i think blender is easy to use and it is free ;)
@halogamerable i dunno how its possible to go with the renders of blender but in 3dmax with mental or vray you can give looks like its real (i know that this is old and all but still i thought i should reply)
it can be interesting. the only problem is that at the moment I have very few free time. but tell me even when if you want models, i think i can find the time to do that.
I would recommend for your next walk cycle to add some weight shifting from leg to leg while walking, like we do, we shift all our weight onto one leg while we're on it until the next one hits the ground. It's a subtle thing that makes a huge difference in animation. Many people forget it, but if you get that key, it makes it look even more real. :D
i use armatures in blender, i move bones like we do for moving. it is not very easy :p i have done some of this movement myself to see how i can do them with bones.
tu as sûrement raison mais lorsque j'ai réalisé cette vidéo je l'ai faite avec un ordinateur pas très puissant (512 mo de RAM) c'est pourquoi j'ai pas trop forcer sur les effets.
There are so many techniques employed here it could easily take 20 tutorials.
That said Blender is great software, I reccomend you try the n00b to pro wiki for it if you are interested in learning it. I love the software and use it all the time
its really not all that complicated watch super3boys tuts from the first one and be sure to follow along and try to apply them to a project as you go thats what im doing right now its working pretty well
well all 3D modeling programs are complicated and difficult to use for e. g Maya, 3DS Max, Blender and Lightwave 3D. (Those are all the 3D Modeling programs I know..for now.. lawls) You should try em ;)
Who here watched this expecting master chief to fall into a blender?

Unless you were going for that sharp contrast, may i suggest Ambient Occlusion in the beginning?

@bdk40 It is very easier. You would need to go to programming school before you know how to make a freaking cube.

on a scale of 1-10, i give this a 4. pretty good for just an at-home animation, i'd say

Very nice modeling, and good animation.

C'est un bonne animacion! j'aime votrea Master Chief! Je pense il serai plus bonne avec soft shadows dans le render mais c'est ne pas important.
