  • first question i ask anyone i date is if they like radiohead/thom yorke? solves a lot of problems right from the get go.

  • Introverted doesn't mean snobbish, that is a blatantly wrong assumption...

  • If Thom Yorke lived 2000 years ago, he would have been mentioned in the bible.

  • @spearsandarrows

Now thats great comment. I'm going to steal that one, mate ;)

  • i like you thom

  • i want to play with thom

  • @1martink That sounds really weird....

  • @cloudi87

    maybe it does

    lol

i still would play with thom though

  • the great thing about radiohead is that all their songs, you can turn them into your own situation. you don't have to hear them the same way others do. i never find their music depressing, but it's more relatable in the sense that, it helps you bring out your emotions. i get happy when i listen to radiohead, even when it's a song like " how to dissapear completely" . they are the best band in the world

  • @garbo421

I probably could not agree more. Whatever emotion I'm feeling, Radiohead will accentuate that emotion. I could listen to the same song and feel different things at different times. This goes to show how immensely ahead of their time they are musically (and Yorke is lyrically)

  • @DrunkenLeprechaunPro yeah i feel the same way about radiohead. their music really helps me with my emotions. if i'm feeling down then i'll listen to a song like pyramid song and i feel better, but sometimes i'll listen to it when i'm happy and it goes along with my feelings then too. their music is so special.

  • radiohead's sound describes how i feel and my emotions in life

  • What kind of a fan are you? :D

Well, it's Cymbal Rush, of course, off The Eraser.

  • what is the song in the title? I know I know it and it is bothering me. I know the way the song goes and what album it is from and it is upsetting me.

  • The strange thing is that Radiohead is by far my favorite band, I must hear their music in a very different way.

  • they are the most introverted, inspirational, excentric, beautiful and amazing band in the world. thom is a musical genius, and anyone that says their music is depressing is not only stupid but extremely ignorant and has a musical sense that has obviously been warped by stereotypes. they say what they feel in a way thats personal and individual to them. long live radiohead.

  • For starters no one's individual, we're all part of a big blob of all most robotic mundanity and secondly I think it's more than intuitive to hear some of Radiohead's music as depressing. Many of the lyrics are based on the darker side of realism and much of the music is in a minor key. No discredit to the band or listeners but I just wanted to point that out,.

  • I'd say open minded.

  • Their music is not depressing. Where'd you get that from?

  • Obviously it comes from a place of pain. When pain is expressed out of a person, others get sad too. Those who feel like victims will relate to it, and its not depressing to them, but more of a comfort. But people who have peppy, full lifes of joy see it as a downer.

  • This has to be the creepiest interview I've ever seen. What's with the low lighting and dodgy shadows? (1:05 what the hell lol)

  • if you scroll down to where you cant see the title, it looks like thom is at a shrink

    o_o

  • I hate that people think he's a jerk or douche or whatever you want to call it,

why can't people just understand he's extreeeemely introverted?

    well whatever,

    everything he makes is magic.

  • He actually said he's a jerk himself. But yeah I like him and I like the fact he doesn't put on a mask when talking to people,he's just himself all the way.

  • being an introvert is not an excuse to be a jerk. you can be shy and introverted and still manage to be polite. either way, i love his/their music and that's what matters.

  • @DaniRenesmee: i think it's a common thing when extroverts have encounters with introverts. i've gotten it more than several times in my life, but it was more frequent in high school. honestly it pisses me off to no end when someone thinks i'm a rude person. sorry, i just don't trust people to be communicative with them, and it's rude of them to act as if i don't have a right to my own feelings (particularly that insecurity. it's something no fucking person can dictate. emotions just happen.)

  • @DaniRenesmee Yeah and why can't they listen to his music instead of thinking about what kind of person he is?

  • @OllerMaller That's so incredibly rude. Why would you advocate objectifying the musician? Reducing him to just a music creator that performs for your amusement is pathetic. If you enjoy his music, you owe it to him to learn about the person behind it.

  • @Proletariat12 Personally I do learn about him. I watch and read a lot of interviews with Thom. So my comment was aimed to people who say that he is a 'jerk'. If they think he is a jerk then they don't have to watch his interviews.

  • "pablo honey isnt good either" actually yes it is.

  • yeah it is an good alternative rock album, but their later work is what impresses me though

  • I love the band but I cant take rockstars talking about enviroments when they put more jet fuel and plastic into the air and palnet than 6,0000 regular people...hypocrites but I love the music

  • well thats partially valid, but in some ways a naiive perspective. If they can affect people at their concerts viewpoints, then their "6,000 regular peoples" pollution will be overcome by their ability to affect 6,000,000. Im not saying that they do

(or will), but you should consider the ability of them to affect other people and not be narrowminded in your perspective.

  • To his credit, Thom realizes that touring/shows are pretty environmentally unfriendly and has tried to make Radiohead's end of the deal as eco-safe as possible. There's no helping the impact from the travel to the show, though, which he acknowledges.

  • the big artists are all against "global warming" as its called because they are paid to say that by the banking elite. the ones who want to scare everyone into believing the global warming hoax. soon they will pass a global carbon tax to fund their hidden agenda. do some independent research and you'll find what im saying to be very true.

  • ...right. Because we all know the "banking elites" have heavy ties to the music industry. Even then, bands get paid shit; it takes years of touring, putting out albums, and selling songs to commercials and shit to see much profit. I don't see global warming to be as rapid as everyone makes it out to be but there isn't a doubt in my mind that humans have fucked this planet up. Politics and industry have convoluted reason that doesn't coincide well with ethics.

  • global warming is such bullshit, it's ridiculous. the fact is, the planet has been much hotter in the past.

Accurate and representative temperature measurements from satellites and balloons show that the planet has cooled significantly in the last two or three years, losing in only 18 months 15% of the claimed warming which took over 100 years to appear.

  • 96.5% of all carbon dioxide emissions are from natural sources, mankind is responsible for only 3.5%, with 0.6% coming from fuel to move vehicles, and about 1% from fuel to heat buildings.

do some independent research and stop watching the fucking news, that which is owned by the "banking elite".

  • mind explaining the benefit a carbon tax will call on this so called "banking elite"

  • the benefit for them is money and power. money for funding their agenda of creating a new world order. just google this stuff, guy. i hate fucking comment wars lol.

  • dude FUCK oasis

  • his album is damn fine

  • Comment removed

  • Who cares? They all make great music!

  • Comment removed

  • Radiohead>Blur>Oasis

  • Comment removed

  • actually depends on the album. blurs first couples albums were a bit too poppy and commercial and they didnt really stand the test of time. 13 and think tank however r proper boom! :D

  • pablo honey isnt good either

  • Hate to say it. But Oasis is not that great! They have a unibrow and they brag too much.

  • there's a lot running through this album which is about trying to forget thins, trying to get over things... i see why it was record of the year for me back then :) its a great great album...

  • who cares he has paralyzed eye, he rocks,i mean i even think the imprefection make him more sexy, dont critized when you know nothing, thom is like god to me, i adore him,i believe many people agree what i said..

  • i doo with u of course i just wanted to know i love his music

  • ya...of course..the awesome he made..also with radiohead

  • Hey, I'm a perfectly straight guybut I'd fuck him.

  • that is the best thing I have heard all day.

    I love this, and him.

  • i know this is stupid question bud i dont know a lot abouth hm i have his album bud what happen with his eye?

  • he was born with his eye closed and had to have several operations to fix it until they decided to just leave it.

  • thank u is no inportant just wsanted to kno wthank u

  • no problemo

  • Thats cool, just reminds me of the mr pibb guy off the can

  • thom may be a bit pretentious but he is a genius and an amazing man.

  • well im mexican and my english is no good so i cant hear well the things he say , are you saying that thom yorke has autism?

ok thanks and nice video ;)

  • I am convinced that genius is an ultimate shape of autism, and Tom Yorke, like Tim Burton or Bill Gates belong obviously to this categorie

  • hmmm i was researching autism and it belongs in the category that most people in the world cant seem to explain or express themselves appropriately and so it leads to this frustration or self-absorption as you see

  • what if autism is the ultimate shape of genious??? suck my balls and gimme a thumbs down then fags yeah go ahead

  • Thom not Tom

  • How many albums have you made? Did Thom watch you being interviewed? Start critizing when you can do better! Shithead!

  • so your saying based on how many albums he has makes him a good person, i never said anything bad about his music i admitted that i like some of it I'm talking about the man as a person. before you jump down peoples throats read the god damn message

  • Since nobody knows him better than you, right jonob? Maybe you should hold all judgements of a person in until you actually interact with that person. "Don't read a book by it's cover."

  • No but since im slating him i don't know anything about him but those guys who praise him have met him a thousand times im sure,

  • Whenever he talks about his music he always seems fairly dissapointed in itbecause I'm amazed by every second of music.

  • I agree, i cannot understand his feelings of underachievement, his music is outstandingly unique and brilliant

  • that's why he and radiohead are great. you won't improve at anything if you think you're at the top. Thom said in interview once: "People sometimes say we take things too seriously, but it's the only way you'll get anywhere."

  • actually thom was born with closed eyes and he had surgery on her eye in his childhood. don't fucking label you don't know anything d30n

  • lol @ wikipedia

  • you are yourselves have low iq. and you don't even know yourself but you tend you label others. you can do nothing. but Thom, Bill gates etc is smarter than you. you are just worm in the your school and nobody don't know you. but all the people know them ok fucking stupid guys who do know nothing and has empty skull

  • I agree with PrincessPunzee. yeah that's true. this is not serious disorder. you can understand this as a just shy, etc actually almost all the people have little bit mental problem nowadays. there's not purely healthy people today. in statics 1 of the four people have psychological problem today. autism, Asperger, f10, etc

  • actually Asperger who was psychiatrist and who initially presented this disorder in 1944. as a matter of fact this is just type of lack of communication and isolated ones.

  • you don't be behave like a person who know all the thing. you do know nothing. even you can't diagnosis this disorder. actually this is not exactly disorder. this is not serious disorder too. this is just type of person's behavious. but usually they can't participate in society like others. but they are not mental or psycho. they didn't just learn to communicate others. isolated ones. but there are cure. they can learn to live like others... participation in society etc.

  • he has got aspergers ,in his interviews, there are some interveiws where he cant look at the person thats intervein him in the eye ,thats aspergers autisum ,normal people can look people in the eye,,,,some people wuth aspergers are fuckin creative an clever, look at bill gates, andy warhol, bob dylan, there some famous people who have aspergers

  • Yeah I know the diagnosis is actually "people who cant look other people in the eye sometimes", that's why there are so many faggots running around with aspergers.

  • he doesn't have aspergers

  • That makes no sense... people are always trying to label people with "disorders" and syndromes and whatnot...ESPECIALLY FRIGGIN AUTISM these days... it's not that serious, I think he's just shy. I'm the same way. I don't look at people for the most part when I talk to them.

  • dude, alot of those people, including yorke do not have aspergers. You obviously don't know yorke, dylan, or warhol very well. bill gates especially doesn't have it. He's just really smart. Aspergers is a serious disorder, don't fucking label people who are somewhat shy with some disorder.

  • Sure. Join the labeling crowd. Asperger's Syndrome has not been accepted by the psychologist community as a disorder. A.S. (like ADHD) is just another made up "syndrome" in order to label people and make pharmaceutical profit.

  • fucking legend.

  • you said it completely in one radiohead are so underrated from other people that dont know them thom and radiohead are labelled before they even know what they stand for

  • He does seem to show characteristics of AS, but that's true of a lot of people who don't merit the diagnosis.

  • erm... where did you read that he has AS? I think not.

  • I agree with cherrycolaola

    It's a strong word - too strong.

Thom Yorke has Aspergers (sp?) syndrome, but he's very very smart.

    Wonderful songwriter, singer, performer, guitarist.

    Go Thom Yorke.

  • He doesn't have asperger's. Not everyone you admire is retarded. He has synaesthesia and a lazy eye - not asperger's

  • we should all be greatful for people (esp. those who's title is something like word's biggest rock band) to speak up and out about stuff other than sex and love and partying or getting high.

what "gets me down" is the way we get trapped into thinking the same and behaving in that social snobbery and sickoness. fuck! we need more mad geniousity.

  • I agree...

  • Wot's the IPCC? And what the hell are you talking about?

  • he does look like a finnish bum

  • It's amazing how men seem to look better as they approach that 40 year old mark. Yes, Thom does look good!

  • weird to see him talk

  • he looks different, but there's nothing imo that has a negative affect, i reckon he looks cool and it all adds to his 'demeanor'

  • I admit he is a creative genius..but what about him is gorgeous- his cock eye, or crooked teeth?

i mean i'd fuck him in a second but gorgeous is a strong word

  • abit shallow mate

  • i dunno but i dont think tom would appreciate being called gorgeous...but i do get wht u mean

  • I love Thom Yorke and I thnk he is gorgeous. He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.

  • I agree. His voice is so soothing. Angels probably listen to him sing!

  • why? why in every video of radiohead people need to comment about his fucking eye?!

anyway, nice itw, thank you WeirdCreature (love your pseudo btw)

  • is he saying that radiohead is "no more?" or did I miss something?

  • ... you're missing something

  • ok.. that's a relief.. at the beginning he made is sound as if it was the end.. thank you

  • omg i think his paralyzed eye looks cool aswell =o

    hes soo pretty =D lol

    love his music!!!!

  • geen asses? i saw this interview on tv, gutted that the climate change bit was mostly cut out

  • he and maynard are geen-asses

  • call me weird, but i've always thought his paralyzed eye looks really cool.

  • tottaly agree

  • i just did a school project on thom yorke saying how gret he is

  • anything less would be nonsense.

  • what the hell is wrong with his eyes?

  • he has had one paralysed eye since birth which has been operated on but i guess it didnt work

  • to be picky its actually his left eyelid. If you notice he blinks with one eye. Shame really..

  • Nice interview, is it me or is Thom always very timide in his interviews? Guess he's always shy.

  • yeah he is hes just not a moron

  • Im sure I remember someone saying back in the days "there are no budding solo artists in radiohead." hmmmm

    I might be wrong...

  • I always love you thom!! you are the best!!
