join a local band in your neck of the woods, usually they help pay for equipment. Look up AJ Fletcher Bagpipes from Scotland, great quality pipes for a rather good price.

Very nicely played. There is a great advantage to playing an electric chanter. You can play them with headphones so your neighbors won't storm your house with torches and pitch forks at three in the morning. I've just started pipe lessons and am thinking about an electric chanter for that very reason.

Borderline grade 2, i might move up this year. I would recommend the deger chanter compared to this one. There have been some sensitivity problems with this.
