How To Use System Restore

Please help. I did a System restore, it loaded then my screen went black. Some people say its normal or something. (Note, I cannot see Cursor, I know how to fix it when cursor is visible) So is the screen supposed to turn black DURING the system restore?

When my computer was restoring to the restoring point, the blue screen of death appears. I restarted my computer and then it says 'Incomplete Restoring'

if your system corrupted with virus. it will not be restore anymore. u just need to re-format it.

man.. im just gonna say this program saved my computer. im not joking.. what a great program. (my computer booted but the start taskbar and any programs didn't work. so i was pissed and thought i had to get a new computer!!!) I used safemode which was the only way to use a program and i used system restore, IM SAVED!)

Just saved me I installed Trend Micro

2010 and it ruined the personal firewall..with XP

the interenet connection back restoring back to 2 days and I got the wireless adapter to work again

Now how to get TM to work I tired to reinstall and it goofed up the personal firewall again

it will restore all ur stuff up to that point so lets say u installed some service pack for xp and it fucked up ur comp or something or some program ur downloading to tweek ur comp and it messes up ur comp

then when you click restore it will restore your comp to that day when u created a restore point and it will act as if u never downloaded that program :)

You need to change the configurations so it saves a restore point for multiple days. unfortunately since that point does not exist you will not be able to restore to that point.

Yes, you can reinstall windows or you can use system restore. (Check the calender in system restore)

Fix your system date? Double click the time in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. You can change everything from there.

You could system restore to a time before you got the virus... or you could right click your taskbar and select properties. Go to the start menu tab and click customize. From there you can select what options will appear on your start menu.

I haven't downloaded anything, but I want it off, a few friends recommended Avast anti-virus and to do system restore. I used "Avast" with no real luck, so I'm hoping for plan B.
