Eddie was the real deal...whereas Knievel was a complete clown and turned himself in to a laughing stock...i dont know how you lot go about it but i usually stay on the bike when i land...the guy had several screws loose......which the surgeons had to keep tightening up every time they put in a new piece of metal!!!

The original Travis Pastrana....watched this film as a kid about a million times...his mum was Irene Handel..marvelous....I tell you what, it was a helluva jump and the guy has total balls of steel....me and my mates used to sit and watch the end of this just going over and over it, then get out on our scramblers and re-enact it over the burn at Boldon...roughly 50 foot less than King Eddies leap of faith...great days ! Thanks for the memories Eddie !

Excellent clip, thanks for sharing. I had a photo of this jump in a book I had as a kid in the 80's. I'd never seen the sketchy landing until now!
