  • Same as mine. It ends up half way across the laundry room after each wash, I constantly have to push it back into place. Mine finally blew up after 15 months and flooded the laundry room. I think the Devil himself sent this machine to Earth.

  • I have the same washer and have experienced the same exact thing. After, 3 years of having this machine it is now stopping in the middle of a cycle. If the hubby would've listened to me, I would've got the Samsung or Maytag over Whirlpool any day. The dryer is fine, but washer like the other gentleman said is a lemon. Stinks! Parts aren't covered by warranty what's the point of extended service or even having the warranty!!!

  • I've had a Sears Kenmore HE3t for three years on a pedestal in my basement and I've never had a repair. I'd go with the fact it's not on a concrete surface.

Washing machines in the old days had cement inside them to hold down the vibration.

Possibly put cinder blocks in the pedestal?

  • I'm a Maytag/Whirlpool retailer from Canada, and yes the majority of front loads regardless of brand have issues like this. What the sales staff should have told you is that this issue is made MUCH worse if it's up on a pedistal and is made worse again if it is not in the basement on a concrete surface. The flexibility in the metal pedistal and in the wooden flooring amplifies a small issue into a HUGE one.......

Sorry you got stuck with this one, the HE top loads work much better.

  • BBB needs to peep this compony and have em do a major overhaul

  • Here in the uk all we have is front loading machines, we never have any problems like this. We get free warranty and extended warrantees should the machines break down and so get repaired for free (if unreparable then the machine is replaced free of charge.)

  • I WISH we knew this before we bought ours, same exact set as yours. It sounds like an airplane taking off! We got ours at Lowe's in IL back in 2008 as well. We had nothing but problems with it since day 1. As well as being loud, shaking & banging into the dryer, it leaks out the front door, and the motor just fried up. We always HAD to leave the door open or it would immediately smell like mildew. Water collected inside door, too. Will never buy another HE front loader especially whirlpool!

  • A friend of mine has this exact same washer and it had the exact same problem. He fixed it by filling the drawer in the pedestal with bags of sand. They weighed the machine down enough and lowered it's center of gravity enough to fix the vibration issue. Something to try at least!

  • Front loaders are all about energy conservation.

Plan on spending a ton of money, and expect a short life cycle with real expensive repairs.

There is and never was a free lunch.

  • is the washer under warr at where got if is tell salesman n be replace if lemon

  • GE Sucks TOO

but Samsung or Miele is the best washing machine

  • Plus aside from all those issues, whirlpool sucks bigtime. Get a GE

  • Never buy a front load washer, they have major seal issues, balance problems, and are always breaking down. Go with topload

  • geil geil geil echt zu geil !!!!!!!!!!!!!coooooool

  • Whirlpool sucks big time. Check my videos too. I am another victim of their bad engineering

  • to be honest you are better off buying an older machine because all modern ones tend to make this noise and sometimes rattle alot!!
