Last time I had a night out there was in 1997 (I think) and being from Cumbria, journeys to this neck of the woods are few and far between, but saw the sorry state of the tower of this club recently when coming to Liverpool by train from the Ormskirk line.

i remember bein in the 051 n my 18th birthday and they had stilt walkers and firebreathers and this song came on and some lad tried to scale the stilts and ended up crowd surfing - oh the memories! love the 051 reunions - bring it back is what i say on the matter - such a legend of a place i walk the 051 building every weeek & feel all sad! =(

member the foam partys n davys big fuck off hats n mad wooly pompom jumpers. pmsl. the place was a dive n mingin , but its us the people that made the crowd that made the walls drip with sweat, the lock outs with the garlands possie, lmao ,DOVES. we lived it, the best club in town, the chillin room up the stairs lookin down threw the round window, at a crowd dancin by the big speakers n coolin down by the fan by the dj box. that was the 05 for me n a load of others , THANKS JOHN FOR THE 051 X
