I dont know what you are talking about. I have 2 of these, both ate over 5000 rounds by now and work well. There are tons of videos here of people blasting clip after clip without jamming - mine do that no problem. I have a total 12 mags for mine, which I ordered in 3 batches from 3 vendors without problems. This video is junk.

You are too dumb for words. Most semi-auto .22s require high velocity ammo to cycle correctly since there really isn't much gas blowback produced in such a small round. Switching to a quality round nose ammo like Winchester's new M-22 or CCI. I have shot 1000s of rounds and only had 4 failures to fire which is to be expected with ANY rimfire cartridge. I would recommend the screw upgrade kit and charging handle buffer upgrade. Well worth the $30.

Its made of a bunch of pot metal and plastic, easy to break off parts if you drop it. Biggest negative tho is its size... compare the PK next to a Ruger Mk III side by side, and you'll see, the PK is a HONKING HUGE MONSTER and is in no way concealable like any other 22 pistol (go to whichgun dot com and compare, or a pic side by side). I have yet to find a converstion kit from PK pistol --> rifle if you buy the PK and decide, hey, this isn't ever going to work out for me as a pistol.

About 1200 rounds, no real problems. No broken parts. Mags easy to find, well made for what they are and not that expensive (the mags, the gun is usually somewhat over priced). A few FTF due to rimfire priming with good solid firing pin marks. Like most semi auto 22's they do need lubrication to work properly.
@steve001968 Forgot to mention that they do need HV ammo. If you use standard velocity or subsonic you will probably have to tweak it by replacing the recoil spring with a lighter one etc to make it work which probably is not worth the trouble, unless you are supressing it just use the recomended HV ammo.

how about asking other people about their gsg-5s and do some research before you make this type of video. maybe the proplems you were having were exclusive to your weapon
ive shot one in an range there the ejector jammed about 2-3 times for 50 shots, maybe just was a bad mag or a old uncleaned gun anyways for 50-70 shots 2-3 errors, dont know what to say, isnt my gun, the ranges

the cmmg .22lr kit works great and the mags are everywhere. and its only 150 last I checked. I bought one a few years ago for 120 and sold it because I rather practice with bulk crap 556. Not as cheap but way more fun.
This report is totally ON THE MARK. I sent mine back to GSG three times and it always came back just as screwed up as it was before I sent it. It ran fine for 1,000 rounds then it never went five rounds without a jam-- mostly FTFs. I tried everything to make it go. Different ammo, lubrication, cleaning, mags carefully cleaned too. It just wears itself out and even the factory can't fix it. Watch out for other rifles with the same mechanism as the GSG, (SCAR) Go with the SIG 522. It rules

to all the morons that agree with this video and to the guy that made this video, i have had my GSG5 for over a year and put well over 3000 rounds through it, the gun fires flawlessly, i have even bump fired it many times without a problem.... with this gun AMMO MATTERS.... if you buy cheap ammo expect jams..... i use CCI hyper velocity and dont have a problem, if you dont know what your talking about then best to keep your mouth shut.... GSG5 is a GREAT gun and i love mine....

The guy that did this video is a fraud. I brought one and love it. He says mags are hard to find - bull crap. I just purchased three 22-round mags and one 100-round drum. Accuracy is excellant -- this guy is either an idiot or is working for a competitor. Mags/other parts can be purchased at the following website (hotgunparts). I purchased a red dot scope for $50 and expected it to be par with a toy. It was easy to install/ easy to sight in and is very accurate.

ive got the 1st anneversary SD version, i take it camping all the time, i take it to the range....ive fed it thousands of rounds of bulk ammo, never once jammed, not one FTF ........magazines are in stock at a local place in town, otherwise i found them online in about 5 seconds.... it is a great little gun!!

I hate my GSG-5 Send it back to ATI twice to get repaired and each time it comes back it starts jaming withing 10 rounds, I tried every kind of amo and have 4 different mags , the firing pin does not hit the shell properly! Worst gun I have owned!
Mr hawking stick to physics cause you dont know jack about firearms. My GSG-5 has jammed less then my Ruger 10-22. I didnt even break it down and clean it till after i fired 800 rounds. Its more reliable and easier to clear a jam then my US Army issued M4, and that was issued to me brand new in the box! Furthermore if your worried about scratching it then be more careful!
it is designed for high velocity rounds ,it jams because the rounds are not powerfull enough for the gas reloading ,.i had same problem with other semi auto 22 rifles with detatchable mags ,try using better ammo it does matter!
@joneser30 GAS RELOADING? It's Blowback operated not gas operated. before you reply the gas jets the bolt back it doesn't, it's inertia for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
IDIOT! Mags are easy to find. .22cal is Dirt cheap and is sometimes DIRTY! I have one and have shot over 3000+ rounds with this thing, one or two jams in there, but HELL! I can shot this thing ALL DAY LONG. With no attachments I can drill the targets at the range at 50 yards EASY! sights are nice.
CLEANING - CLEAN YOUR GUNS! know how to clean them. there is a spring (look up "gsg 5 mystery spring") that comes out each time I clean it, but its easy to replace. GREAT GUN!! 500 rnds for $27 FTW!

We use standard ammo, federals in the 550rd box form Wally world, and they work fine. I know plenty of guys who use ammo other than cci and have no issues. Just sayin! No offense.
I had a jamming problem when I got my GSG-5(bullets wouldn't feed into the chamber), I just stretched the spring out in the mag. Also, I do think the 2 stock screws that hold the springplate on the bottom of the mag were too small so I screwed in slightly bigger ones. works %100 now.

Don't know what you're talkin about man, I have more then 13,000 rds through mine, And it rarely ever jams. Also, The mags are relatively cheap. I bought a pack of three 22rd mags from my local dealer for $50, And they have many more of the Dealer specials.
Mags used to be rare and expensive, around $40 a pop. Now the prices have come down. I've seen them for 19.99 online. I did see something about the gun being discontinued as of Oct. 09. Something about an H&K lawsuit.
dont know what kind local fire arms store you have at silver bullet fire arms michigan they have buckets of magizines they have about 30 on display and a couple hundred in the back so there nice and cheap, this gun is nice you just need to at least clean it every 500 rounds, and strip it out and give it a good clean job every 2000-3000 rounds take care of it dont go jumping in the water pretending your a navy seal and dont go throwing it in the sand or mud, its a good gun just take care of it

to all the morons that agree with this video and to the guy that made this video, i have had my GSG5 for over a year and put well over 3000 rounds through it, the gun fires flawlessly, i have even bump fired it many times without a problem.... with this gun AMMO MATTERS.... if you buy cheap ammo expect jams..... i use CCI hyper velocity and dont have a problem, if you dont know what your talking about then best to keep your mouth shut.... GSG5 is a GREAT gun and i love mine....

Haha wow this video is ignorant. Obviously its an advertisement from another company who can't compete with the GSG. I have one and i love it! Everything mentioned in the video is complete false information. Magazines are soooo easy to find, go to google and see how many pop up. Also i have never had this thing jam up, i popped of 11 rounds in less than 3 seconds using cheap federal bulk ammo from Wal-Mart. Just remember "Haters are fans too!" haha

The guy that did this video is a fraud. I brought one and love it. He says mags are hard to find - bull crap. I just purchased three 22-round mags and one 100-round drum. Accuracy is excellant -- this guy is either an idiot or is working for a competitor. Mags/other parts can be purchased at the following website (hotgunparts). I purchased a red dot scope for $50 and expected it to be par with a toy. It was easy to install/ easy to sight in and is very accurate.

perhaps you should just take care of your guns and actually open your eyes at a gun store. I know i cant go to any respectable gun shop without bumping into 20 or so mags for this thing. Never had any problems with the one i bought my girl, but then again she actually cleans, oils and cares about it.

the only time it jams or misfires is because people use sub sonic ammo. You cant use sub sonic ammo in a .22 semi automatic it wont cycle.

ive got the 1st anneversary SD version, i take it camping all the time, i take it to the range....ive fed it thousands of rounds of bulk ammo, never once jammed, not one FTF ........magazines are in stock at a local place in town, otherwise i found them online in about 5 seconds.... it is a great little gun!!

get a ruger 10/22. mine has about 10,000 rounds through it. i have only replaced the extractor. even when the extractor failed, it continued to fire.

i have put about one thousand rounds through my gsg-5 and still have not cleaned it because cleaning it is a pain in the ass i will admit but... it rarely jams...and im happy with it..most .22 rim fires will jam sometimes..and why worry about a jam? are you gonna go into battle with a gsg-5 rifle? i dont think so..i have my ar-15 and ak-47 for that day god forbid it ever happens..im happy with my gsg-5..it is a little pricey for a .22 but it just looks so cool and is fun to plink with.

I finaly got mine out to the range and slammed 500 rounds though it in 1 sitting CCI Blazer ammo. never missed a beat. Can't find Mags? Then your not looking Sportsmans guide has Tapco mags I got three 20 bucks apeice. Seems more like you spent more than you have and have buyers remorse. But because your a moron you don't have to screw over GSG. if your having trouble firing it try taking the safety off.

I hate my GSG-5 Send it back to ATI twice to get repaired and each time it comes back it starts jaming withing 10 rounds, I tried every kind of amo and have 4 different mags , the firing pin does not hit the shell properly! Worst gun I have owned!

Mr hawking stick to physics cause you dont know jack about firearms. My GSG-5 has jammed less then my Ruger 10-22. I didnt even break it down and clean it till after i fired 800 rounds. Its more reliable and easier to clear a jam then my US Army issued M4, and that was issued to me brand new in the box! Furthermore if your worried about scratching it then be more careful!

it is designed for high velocity rounds ,it jams because the rounds are not powerfull enough for the gas reloading ,.i had same problem with other semi auto 22 rifles with detatchable mags ,try using better ammo it does matter!

IDIOT! Mags are easy to find. .22cal is Dirt cheap and is sometimes DIRTY! I have one and have shot over 3000+ rounds with this thing, one or two jams in there, but HELL! I can shot this thing ALL DAY LONG. With no attachments I can drill the targets at the range at 50 yards EASY! sights are nice.
CLEANING - CLEAN YOUR GUNS! know how to clean them. there is a spring (look up "gsg 5 mystery spring") that comes out each time I clean it, but its easy to replace. GREAT GUN!! 500 rnds for $27 FTW!

We use standard ammo, federals in the 550rd box form Wally world, and they work fine. I know plenty of guys who use ammo other than cci and have no issues. Just sayin! No offense.

I had a jamming problem when I got my GSG-5(bullets wouldn't feed into the chamber), I just stretched the spring out in the mag. Also, I do think the 2 stock screws that hold the springplate on the bottom of the mag were too small so I screwed in slightly bigger ones. works %100 now.

dont know what kind local fire arms store you have at silver bullet fire arms michigan they have buckets of magizines they have about 30 on display and a couple hundred in the back so there nice and cheap, this gun is nice you just need to at least clean it every 500 rounds, and strip it out and give it a good clean job every 2000-3000 rounds take care of it dont go jumping in the water pretending your a navy seal and dont go throwing it in the sand or mud, its a good gun just take care of it
