  • "[A virgin] This word properly means a girl, maiden, virgin, a young woman who is unmarried, and who is of marriageable age. The word `almaah (OT:5959), is derived from the verb `aalam (OT:5957), "to conceal, to hide, to cover."

Barnes commentary said of the use of the word virgin in this sense as, " one who was 'not then married,' and who was, therefore, regarded and designated as a virgin."

No, your circular arguments do not prove "beyond any doubt" that there was no virgin birth.

  • This was a great book, especially if you are doubting your christian faith. I read it after I already decided to leave my christian faith and it hit home with so many questions and problems I had with that religion. We all need to live by the golden rule, treat others as you want to be treated, that is true religion. 5 stars!!

  • this guy has lots of god points, i agree with all of them

  • i used to be a bit of a Bugliosi fan, ... not so after listening to the first half ( as far as I could make it ) of this interview.

  • Do I follow ... NO? Free will ... Because God did not send His Son into the world to condemn; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believe's on Him is not condemned: but he that doesn't is condemned already, because he has not believed in the authority of the only begotten Son of God. Do Children have free will? This is the "Final judgment": Light has come into the world, & men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil.

  • he'd argue with a possum. his book is for everyone. he takes on esp.people who inherit beliefs. he weaves an extremely rich web of exigency. it doesn't matter if you agree with him or even like him. he stirs things up and know so much that you don't. he is not heathen. he appreciates his species and gives credit where credit is due. first cause is preeminent and mentions the miracle of memory & he loved his cat. if you don't read this book you are missing out on an experience of a lifetime.vbitm

  • I wanted to be Christian,I tried, but I couldn't lie to myself, let alone lie to God, he knows all right? I don't believe gay people are afflicted or perverted nor would I compare them to a legimate perversion akin to beastiality. In my heart of hearts, I can't subscribe to Adam and Eve's story either. How did they procreate?Adam sleeps with daughter,Eve sleeps with son?Noah didn't build an arc, bring two of every animal on his boat.Don't mean to offend, but how can an adult believe such fairytale

  • The Modern Ecumenical Church supports the agnostic stance and welcomes Mr Bugliosi's work as a worthy and considered argument for agnosticism.

The church invites people to consider that agnostics can have a beneficial spirituality NOT based on myths or superstition.

for more information, we invite people to visit the our website

  • I'm an agnostic, and I don't feel different after I red this book.

People should not feel offended by the logic of this book.

A god that is all-knowing but can't find adam in eden, or doesn't know if he has eaten of the forbidden fruit, can't exist.

  • LOL!!!

    White ppl are funny.

They always gotta have "scientific" proof.

  • @JesusNonEnviromental I hope you understand whatever book you read more than you understand what Vince has said in this interview, he has a daughter , her name is Wendy and they both suggest some people shouldn't read this book because it will make their head hurt

  • @Thereminator if first cause wasn't an "intelligence" or "whom" then what

  • This guy assumes that first cause was an intelligence or "Whom".That and his limited definition of Atheism show an intrinsic bias and a breach in logic. His book dose sound interesting if not redundant and reinventing old arguments.

  • Vince is God.

  • Vince is a hero of mine

  • So, the Free-will Baptists that founded Ocean Park, Maine in 1881 didn't do so on their own cognition? Vince? Hello!

  • Vincent in his spare time between morning walks and afternoon naps has written a book to help mankind finally put to rest this notion of God. How can we possibly thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule and setting the record straight for all the ages. I shudder to think if this man had never been born that all of mankind would continue to live in ignorance. I hope he has an offspring so we can continue to be enlightened, but you'll have to buy the book this info aint cheep you know

  • @JesusNonEnviromental don't think Vince sleep or takes his wife out

  • Respond to this video... the interviewer asks great questions and listens attentively and lets vince talk, excellent

  • Bugliosi sounds more like Hitchens and Dawkins than he probably thinks he does.

  • Richard Dawkins child-like? Billy Graham's description of heaven has to be about the most child-like thing I've heard.

  • You say "who" started the universe. I think the correct term would be "what" started the universe. I do agree that the Christian God cannot exist. The Christian God is simply a fabrication of man that has evolved over thousands of years.

  • It's always a problem to try to wrap our finite mind around the infinite mind of God. The only way to prove an existence of God is by inviting Him into your life. Later, one can decide whether to believe or not to believe in Him, based on what He is doing in one's life.

To know God is to know one's origin, purpose, and ultimate destiny after our time on Earth comes to an end.

  • Bugliosi claims that knowing whether god exists or not is unknowable. However he himself just made a knowledge claim that he cannot back up. He doesn't know that the existence of god is knowable or unknowable anymore then an atheist or christian. He is just as biased.

  • @baggins321 Read the book 1st. He does back it up in his book. Anyone who can follow simple logic can understand his book. I read it in three days. He has only lost 1 case in his career, and is 21 for 21 in convicting murderers. Some of the top lawyers in the US believe he has one of sharpest legal minds to ever set foot in a courtroom. Religion is a man made fraud.

  • Should be a good read; anything that Vince writes invites controversy. I for one wouldn't want to offend a force that created not only the universe but also Satan & people like Lee Oswald & Tex Watson so there will be no book like this from me.

Much of this thesis I had heard as a child from my father who informed me that those born into this world without wealth are screwd and I had X # of days to accumulate some wealth. Whatever I get I have to leave it when I die. Sheesh...

  • Bugliosi raises many interesting questions that a few of us have been asking for years. Free will, the existence of hell, absolving God from evil (God is the creator of evil according to Isaiah 45:7, the immortality of the soul; none of these ideas are supported in the scriptures (original manuscripts) but Christians can't handle it. The King James Bible is nothing more than a book of contradictions and does not reflect true biblical belief.

  • Gotta read the book. Thanks, Sonali

  • He "prosecuted" Bush for crimes in Irak. He must be right in what he says about God ....if you're a liberal ... which is almost sinonimous with atheist.

    Way to go groupies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lauraz87 your an idiot.

  • @lauraz87 I cannot believe you actually typed that...........
