This film was worse than the rest of the crap horror releases now. Horror is dead. Name 1 good horror film [maybe sth korea excepted] in last 20 years. All are shit. Including the hilarious Ringu films and including low budget outside the industry films. Argento hasnt made anything good since Phenomena, but its only forgivable because Suspiria was brilliant.

Starts out interesting, but 5-10 min after the shit hits the fan. Main character is retarded, the plot is probably written during a lunch break and if you wanted those unnecessary scenes then you're in for a treat. I think this film was written by a spoiled bitch who smokes cock for a living. Her dad just realized a poor investment and decided to cut it short. An interesting idea flushed down the toilet, that's what this movie really is.

The elements that made Argento's films classic are missing. No vivid colours no tension build up, no loud music. What happened? Argento lost his taste? for all of you who asked. its pretty good, not as good as suspiria, better than inferno, not argentos best work. gorey as hell. gruesome, gross disturbing, and over the top. yes 2 babies die. grossly. not for the squimish.

however in all of this not a classic movie. you cant do all that blood and gore and expect it to be a classic. but i suppose there is substance behind the movie.

Suspiria is not overrated. It's hard to see now how innovative and influential that film was at the time, mostly because it has been imitated so much. It affected generations of filmmakers. And Goblin's score is one of the greatest in film history.
