is the central station a hard brigade to get into?

im RFS and im considering joining NSWFR in a few years after i get some qaulifications from the RFS and if i had a choice id really like to make this brigade.

@3Slim3Shady3 FYI qualifications in the RFS don't mean a thing (no RPL) when applying to FRNSW (not NSWFR), because you get trained the way they wan, so you have to forget what you have learnt and start again. As for getting into this particular station is a bit of a lottery. Lots and lots of hurdles to jump through. Good luck anyway.

@ziggyzedly well i guess experience from the RFS is a good wat to put it, surely it would be good on my resume. but i really would like to make FRNSW (cheers for the correction)

@3Slim3Shady3 I myself was in the RFS for 15 years and now i'm a retained FF with FRNSW, in my case it did help for applying for retained, it shows that you can be a team player etc. When it comes to applying for a career postion, not even being Retained helps from what i've been told. Have you given the online application a go yet eg the aptitude test ( when they do intakes that is.)?

@ziggyzedly well there reveiwing the requirments so im waiting for that, so what is a sure way to get in? ive also considered going to Canbera or Air Services Australia cause i love it and its a job i wanna do everyday

That's City of Sydney Fire Station, not Kings Cross.
