are you sure this audio accompanying the clip is what Mr. Ma's real recording, not a recording from somebody's today's play???? (for example: 李传韵演奏马思聪:思乡曲).

I heard him play Bach's Ciaccona in San Francisco's Masonic Hall, shortly after he arrived in the United States. I, too, wish people would upload any videos or recordings on YouTube, for all to enjoy.

Great Violin Master from China who can matched any Violinist of the past in the realm of music yet his works/biodata is yet to be exposed to the western. I think his talent and the composition is comparable to Paganini,his tragic journey in bringing up the Chinese violin music and hence assimilate it into western/classical style is yet to be accomplished.
