I'm not sure exactly how the string bending works. The way I do it on here is I bend it down pretty far, pretty much to the next string. I believe this is called bending down a whole step, as opposed to a half step; though I may be confusing this with the harmonica. Hope this helps. I've never really bent a string up, so I dunno.
Okay, I'm a newb to guitar, but it seems like when I bend the string up it sounds different then bending it down. What's the deal with that? Maybe I'm bending slightly further down???
Sorry to offend you, but even if he was crucial to it's development, it doesn't mean a lot of people remembered him, not on the scale of Johnny Cash at least.
Some guy nobody ever remembers?? Marshall Grant and Luther Perkins were the original Tennesse Two. Marshall was as critical on Bass as Luther was on Lead. Marshall was also the manager who booked all ther shows. Without him, there would be no Johny Cash.
Very Cool.....I only watched the first couple minutes and have played my first piece of music on my guitar with the bend. This is kind of a breakthrough for me and really got me excited. I brought your video on two screens so I could watch your fingers and strumming through the tabs and follow the chart, worked great. Thanks a million, I look forward to seeing more of your vids. I want to learn this song first as my ma loves Johnny Cash.

Marshall Grant is remembered by those who take the time to read. He was an integral part of JC.s early life.
