  • I used to hate on "Speak and Spell" when I was first getting into Depeche Mode when I was in college but now this album is fucking awesome. The tunes are still strong but you have that great early 80's British synthpop sound that wasn't around that long but left such a long impression on music.

  • szinte el is felejtettem, hogy mennyire nyers volt még...bár a hang minősége elég xar...de itt is hallani azt az úttörő hangzást, amely annyi zenére hatással van még most is.../Almost forgot this souds of raw..., but this sound's quality shit....This pioneer music many musicians could also even today!!!!!!!! Vince Clark, Martin Lee Gore thank you sooooo mutch

  • brilliant :-D

  • You can hear the very early Human League influence on this track by Depeche Mode. Check out 'The Path of Least Resistance' by Human League and then listen to this song. This is an interesting song, though.

  • @ajittffcure I strongly agree and think you are wise Brah.

  • The beat is so mesmerizing! <3

  • wtf whats with the pathetic audio quality?

  • @dwaynedibbly My guess is that it was recorded using a microphone that was set in front of some not very good bookshelf speakers and played from a turntable with improperly adjusted pitch control.

  • I grew up with Hard Rock and Metal But I surrendered to DM when I was Introduced to the people are people(circa-1984) vinyl , I was amazed of how crazy it sounded, how Robotic and futuristic Alien like music-something new and differend coming from the U.K. and their look was Cool! since then Ive been an avid Fan , DM really deserves more status ,Glory and Fame than some top 40 USA music or Bands out there (which I wont mention) , DM are the true tecno, new wave Pioneers!!!!

  • @Mr777boris777 I play a guitar, but I think I like your instrument better!

  • without doubt, the darkest song on Speak and Spell

  • @DisguiseDK I second that! But that seems pretty natural for it is a Martin Gore song. He was a brilliant songwriter then, when he was under 20 and still is today!

  • @DisguiseDK yet one of the most beautiful

  • Greatttttttttttt !
