What a bass line - the slap parts are most wonderful. What scintillating arpeggios around 6:20. And the graha bhedam done at around 5:57 yields Shibhapantuvarali, a major melakarta raga. The piece however is based on 36th melakarta Raga Chalanata (same raga as baar baar haan bolo yaar haan). Eternal Ilayaraja!
Hi there.. thank you for the breakdown...I wanted more information regarding about the raga used in this particular music and you have explained it exceptionally well...thank you again!!
Thanks! I am glad it helped. I have a few more videos that I have done and uploaded onto my channel about Maestro's use of Raga Nalinakanthi. Check them out when you can and also let me know your comments.
too good to be named a meastro...regret to say he is not recognised by the western world...maybe becoz he was born Tamil...salute the god of music...long live sir
Fabulous piece! The raaga is chalanataai- the same raaga used in the song "pani vizhum malar vanam". Does anyone know how I can get this CD so that I can load to itunes? thanks
