With a good director, Shadow Of Chernobyl (specifically that one) can make a truly EPIC movie, just think about its plot for a second- *spoilers ahead*

A truck carrying dead bodies- crashed. A scavenger goes to search the crash for loot, one of the bodies is alive. Guy doesn't remember anything,his mission- "kill Strelok", should have been dead. Long plot here, but just think about all the labs, and places and etc.. Climax point, huge battle between almost everyone in the zone. Strelok is him.

This game is definitely one of the harder ones out there. If you're into a post-apocalyptic game where you don't need to worry about eating, the effects of all that vodka on your body, and the fact that bullets ACTUALLY HURT YOU... then this isn't for you. Play Fallout 3 (Another good game, I was a fan myself, but the STALKER series blows the entire fallout series out of the water). Immersion is intense.... you start thinking like a stalker if you play the game too long. and that's a good thing.

what i mean by stiff gameplay is that its not quite as intense as some other games. its just a minor detail but i think if they added something like in CoD when a dog attacks you you have to stab it before it kills you or something like that it would be alot scarier :P

but i think it looks absolutely amazing and if i had a better computer i would have bought it a long time ago :)

If you play it on the hardest difficulty you literally are hugging cover the whole time because a stray burst of rounds'll kill you... Though I guess the mutant fights still feel clunky. But the gameplay in this vid doesn't reflect how STALKER should be played :P

C-Consiousness is rsponsible for creating the zone, while the labs were responsible for some creatures and experiments.

Yes and theres loads of other games based on tradegy , Call of duty for example , you have loads of war based games that are actually based on real life death and suffering . Yes chernobyl was bad but it didnt create mutant dogs , zombies and other weird things did it so this game isnt based on true events unlike other games which are , my point is somethings are based on reality with a bit of extra thrown in , its just something we have to understand and accept . games are exactly that , games.
