(I'm posting this from my iPod)hello typing on a iPod touch works great I have a 2nd generation iPod touch whit 32gb I got it for chrismes this year I love it use it more than my asus eee pc 900 it's super easy to type on I can't what to next chrismes I'm getting a iPad because In some cases bigger is bether I'm getting the 16 gb one awesome video showing how easy it actualy is to type on a iPhone or iPod touch ;)

I'm contemplating buying an iPod Touch to replace my now ancient iPod Nano, Should I buy into the hype and buy an iPod Touch or buy an iPod Nano instead? Not working, so at the moment, no iPhone. Suggestions?

Try out a touch in the store and see if you want all the additional features it has, such as games/other apps, web browsing, email, IM, etc. If you don't want to spend the extra money for those features just get a nano, the new nanos are really nice if you want something cheaper for music, video and photos.

I want the iPod Touch because I want to be like everyone else- listen to music, and at the same time, check my emails anywhere I want, not that I get many emails in the first place. It's cheaper than getting a Blackberry, right? I mean, all I have to do is find a free and unlocked WiFi Connection, right? How hard can that be? The photos and videos part aren't that important to me right now.

the nano and touch are two different animals. if want the best device for music than buy the nano. if you want everything else but not as good for music then buy the touch. it's not that the touch is bad for music, it's that you have to turn the screen on to change the song. it's better to have both or better yet an iphone and nano. but if i could only afford one thing then i would get the touch if you can't buy an iphone. I still like my nano for music only though.

eeeeh, hes not that slow.... that is actually pretty damn fast haha. My friends have the samsung instinct and they text all the time and they arent as fast as that. If your even faster now, then that is really good lol.

There's no specific app that does this, it's a feature that's built in to some apps (like Safari, the calculator, etc)

Yes every touch has that, it works in Safari but not any of the other apps that come with it. I'm not sure if there are any 3rd party apps that support it.
