its the kanooter valve on the muffler bearing, and also if ur turn signals are dim on one side and not the other, pic up some blinker fluid, can u belevie i went in and asked autozone for some blinker fluid and a left handed crescent wrench and he said "hold on, lemme check if we have some in stock" and i left before he got back lol
could be the drum brake came apart or needs replacing because rivits are rubbing or axle is grinding because the planet gears or diff is worn on the teeth or broken
It's your Axle and they need replacing. I know this because I had the same problem on my 03 f150 when I take turns and thought it was coming from my rear drum brakes until I brought it to the shop and found out it was coming from the rear axle.
@gtahgeit3532 wheel bearings grind while driving or you can shake the wheel side to side and up and down because there worn thats how our shop does it
We need to replace the coolant for the leaf springs, then we need to change the shocks' thermostats. Yup as a certified mechanic I've never seen such a neglected car. Don't worry it won't cost much lol.
@philfromwaterburyeven cheap stuff would have done fine it was probably already worn, i broke a differential on a v8 comaro using redline 75w-90 and thats because i like the gas pedal
@alerossr stay away from the mobil1 headlight fluid though, i hear it will cause the flux capacitors within the lights to implode resulting in total loss of illumination!

it must be the flux capacitor.
Dillon1108 6 months ago 3
but for real you must take the wheel out and spin it to try and figure out where the sound is coming from could even be your axels

Did you find out what the noise was from?
spannu88 1 year ago 2
@spannu88 Yeah the Mobil1 75-90 gear oil I added chewed my diff to pieces.
Don't buy their product... they did not honor their warranty.

@masterelyt2 yea my turboencabulator broke when my flux compacitor ran out of fluid and now when i travel 85mph my car grinds
jayguy173 2 months ago
@alerossr could be the turn signal fluid as well or possibly even the waternator. it never hurts to check the horn oil, while you're at it.
